I put my name forward for the job because I was ask Out of interest, asked by whom ? Are you a player yourself?? There was defo Lisnafillen players asking Kevin to step in as they had no one else interested after Bobby and some other fella (I can't remember) changed their mind after a day. One thing the club need to be sure of though is not to let the issue split the team as it mildly seems to be heading that way!! |

the win on saturday definately lifted the mood around the club, not sure that if we'd have been beat on sat that brian wudnt have still taken the job on...but it certainly made his decision alot easier!
everyone at the club was asked to approach anyone they thought would be interested in takin us on, naturally a few of the boys mentioned kevin and he wasnt the only man that was asked. i was delighted he showed so much interest and, like i said before, i thought it was just a matter of time before it became official.
but brian and boddy want to form a coalition so lets everyone get behind them keep gettin to trainin and puttin in 100% on a saturday!

I think the swifts would be making a mistake if they go back to a one man does everything at the club situation, I have been telling stan for a year he couldn't keep going the way he was. The whole system needs changing to a system that does not rely on one person. Manager, assistant manager, secretary, treasurer. Having 4 people taking care of things works well and if someone drops out then it easy to fill their spot plus the workload is spread

I was totally unaware that the club did not have a treasure or a secretary, very strange or even an assistant manager, that meant Stan did it all himself,if that was the case he must have had a hell of a work load need all to help and do their bit

From talking to him he had a serious work load with very little or no help. It still broke his heart leaving but there's only so much even the most dedicated can take!! |

yeah he did alot for the club i dont know how he lasted so long doing it on his lonesome.
brian and bobby are willing to take it on and have a go at it.
im willing to go to all the league meetings, and do anyhting else needed.
so lets put this behind us and concentrate on winning league games.
wouldnt of minded kevin at the club, but hope he does get back into footy soon.

rab i can assure you the clubs in good hands and iv only been there a few weeks, theres no more of depending on one man there are 6-7 of us at the club chippin in doing our bit so aye hope that puts your mind at rest

just to put this issue to bed, I was d 1 that asked kevin to take us, as i thought he wud do a great job. then we discussed it at training and brian & bobby wanted it  . there was an incident at northend (which i spoke to kevin about) between kevin & current swift player, the player wasnt happy bout kevin taking over so every1 agreed dat bobby & brian wud do the job. Want to wish venom all d best & hope he gets back into footy asap, gd man who wud have done well with us. Hopefully dats d end of it now  Can't believe the lads went against ye over this DB!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D |

It's a unique problem as it allows the user to type in the "Ballymena Saturday Morning League Forums" Google search and read the forum but the playing up part kicks in and stops ye from typing comments while you're there. I think he's ringing Stephen Hawkings to see if he knows how to fix it. ;D ;D |
