Get your fav's up Much the same as myself mate, they are books Ill read Just finished Matt Le Tissiers and Robbie Savages there, both good reads. Probably my most favourite though would be Trevor Brennams (ex-Irish Rugby union player who smacked the Ulstee fan a few years back) A few more will come into my head as well.

Roy Keane book was brilliant, mainly because him and Dunphy seemed to want to piss of the world.
Paul McGrath was very honest, the chapters were he was a full on drunk were moving.
Enjoyed Gazza's book too
I really really enjoyed Bobby Charltons 2 books, the united years for obvious reasons, I got the England one and was a bit sceptical, but it was quality
Thinking of buying the Jonny Giles one next

Teddy Atlas Def one of the best I've ever read. Up there with McGrath and Lance Armstrong. He had a crazy life, every chapter is eventful enough to fill a book on it's own!

thorny, wouldnt mind a wee lend of that one for the summer hols??
read most of the ones mentioned there, all great reads..
also recently read o garas there too, it was good, the munster changing room was mental!!
johnny hartsons book is a must read, JNR88, any chance of getting that back?
Niall quinns is a cracker too, though he spends half his time talking about keano.
Shane macgowans is hilarious, but most likely pure n utter balls.
Neil lennons is a great read .. few days after he got the death threat regarding the norn iron match, he reported back to celtic park, bumped into martin o'neill at the door..
'you got my call then Neil' hahaha, thought that was a beaut.
Vinnie jones, cracker also.

Yeah, I'll get you that Lenny. Some other good ones I've read recently: Micky Ward Obviously a far better insight into his life than the film Forrest Griffin Funny guy for someone obviously hard as nails Chuck Liddell Crazy man, just interested in fighting ALL the time. And riding women too. Frequently doing both in quick succession. Michael Phelps Good motivational book. For example, between Sydney and Athens Olympics (4 years), he reckoned he trained 2,200 times (about 45 times a month), swimming an average of 50 miles a week. Boys Will Be Boys: The Glory Days and Party Nights of the Dallas Cowboys Story of the bunch of playboys of 'America's team' How them boys won so much in between all their affairs, drinking & drugs is unbelievable! The best non-sports book I've ever read: Shocking stuff

Gazza: My Story makes me laugh my balls off every time I read it Stan Bowles book is brilliant Joe Calzaghe's is an easy read but worth a go Phil Thompson - Pinocchio Keanes book is a good read but hate the manc f**ker

Thought Peter Crouch's book was hilarious. He's a funny bloke!
Opening page told a story of the Liverpool squad on a go-karting trip just before the Champions League final in 2007. Crouchy was the last one into the pit lane at the end and his brakes failed. He was hurtling towards the rest of the players and knocked down Dirk Kuyt before crashing through a wall. He managed to bail out before the thing exploded!

Gazza book is very funny - He just joined Lazio and Lorenzo Amoruso i think it was rolls up in a new Lamborghini showing it off. Gazza shoots the back window out with a pellet gun he happened to have in his car. His quote was "I knew i would have to pay for it but it was well worth it to see the look on his face". Brilliant!
Alex Higgins book is also a decent read but a bit depressing at times.

Gazza book is very funny - He just joined Lazio and Lorenzo Amoruso i think it was rolls up in a new Lamborghini showing it off. better read that one again, big Lorenzo never played for Lazio don't like biographies tbh, black and blue by paul canoville ex chelsea is a great read though, 10 kids to different women, ex drug addict, mad story cascarino one was a decent read, quinn was slightly better than average though obcessed much with keano, fergie's managing my life also a v good read. for every one good biog there's easily a dozen which are brutal miracle of castel di sangro is one of the best football books i've read, out a few years back. it's about an american writer who lives in italy and latches on to this club for a year 'this is the one' is more recent, journo tells the story of 2 seasons following man utd descibing fergie's dealings with press armstrong book is decent too though 'rough ride' by paul kimmage is a better cycling book still have most of these if anyone wants to borrow pele, you done with that hartson book yet?
