I really hope Carniny get to stay in both the Junior cup and Shield as I know the effort it takes to get to the semifinals , and they have the best wishes from the Sky Blues in there fight to stay in them , any team worth there salt that plays in our League should , rivals or not recognize there achievement's in reaching this stage of not one but two competitions and hope also they remain in them , but I have a bad feeling about all this especially Junior cup rule 4 clearly states , a player registering with his Club after the 31st December in any season will not be eligible to play in this Competition. If they look at it that once Leslie left Carniny he was no longer registered as there player and when he returned to register for them it was after the 31st December then I fear the worst for them  where did this post come from lol |

Yes Phil is away to Waveney Swifts next season...its a loss but it can be covered in the 3rd division as any position can. Couple of others away too but hopefully a couple coming this way all being well

People will laugh and say sure its only saturday morning league but every manager out there deserves a wee bit of credit for running round after people every week texting bout training and matches, washing kits, going to meetings, lifting money, raising funds and sponsorship, paying pitches etc and we do it all free and it is our hobby too its just that Im to fat and s**te to play so I get my enjoyment from running the club and doing all the above stuff because I love football.
Managers are supposed to enjoy saturday mornings too and sometimes when you are getting abusive texts from players who arent happy then you wonder why you do it every week every season...

There certainly is mate and your finding out how tough it is trying to keep a club running...
We never stop tho the players do and we are now actively trying to improve our squads and attract new players so we run all over the place to try to chat to them and sell the club.

No just a player who was dropped for the semi the other week gave me dogs abuse the whole day after the match via text message and then today a player says he doesnt like the way I force people out of the club etc but its all part of the 'job' tho sometimes you wonder do you really need the hassle and s**te etc but as I say I love the game and I love the club and the club will be here long after me and them move on

I know from experience that being a manager of any football teams is a very difficult and thankless job. Takes someone special to do what you do.....so now you will be know as the special one... ;D But in all seriousness, hard work normally pays dividens so keep up the good work. |
