Nope! Simon - gutted you boys called the game off as we were really up for this one. Just a shame you boys didn't think you could play two games in three days as i understand the cup final's actually on Monday night rather than Saturday morning. Ah well, we'll just have to wait till next time. Good luck in the cup!  |

Actually BC that would have meant 5 games in 10 days! When you consider we have a big final 2 days later I think its understandable that the game was called off.
For the record both ours and Seven Towers games were both called off for the Saturday last year prior to last year's final.

I understand why you're gutted the game was called off by the way but you have to look at the big picture. I'm sure if you were in our position you'd have liked the opportunity for your players to be as fresh as possible for the final. Not only was it just 5 games in 10 days but they are/were all very tough games against very good sides:
Monday 24th: Glenarm
Wednesday 26th: Glenarm
Saturday 29th: Blackstone
Monday1st May: Cup Final v Waveney
Wednesday 3rd May: Carlsberg Cup v Glenarm.
Plus we had to play Demesne 2 days before Glenarm so thats actually 6 in 12 days.
I'm not looking for a Blue Peter badge here but I just felt I should explain why the decsion was taken to postpone our game.

No violins required. Even premiership players who are finely tuned athletes would not be asked to play 6 games in 12 days.
I wouldn't mind playing 6 league games but we're talking about a cup final here.
Maybe a bit of jealousy on you guys parts but thats too bad.

He's not the only one who maynot be seeing the funny side. A message to everyone on this board,...quit with this little childish disagreement which has went on and on between yourselves and Simon. For f**k sake lads,...honestly. I'm not even going to bother bringing the fact that he is the Head Moderator for the Third Divison section into this, which means that you should by all means be showing him a bit of respect. You should already know that... I've been debating over what to do about this on-going situation for two weeks now, and I don't particularly want to close the board for a second time over the head of your antics. Also, as it stands Blackstone Cowboy has been suspended as moderator of this board after I was informed about his misuse of moderating powers. They are not there BC to edit other people's posts for a bit of fun . |

All hail Simon the Head moderator of the BSML 3rd division forum-truly a position in society which commands respect from all who behold him!! Brilliant!! Funny isn't it that you had to go in and close down 2 totally unrelated topics on this forum because of disagreements with Simon-would almost tend to indicate the sort of 'respect' that most people who read his comments hold for him.  Especially after his-'i hope your as mouthy face-to-face' comments to our goalkeeper. But i suppose an almost threatening postisn't nearly as bad as a bit of name calling eh? As for sacking Blackstone Cowboy as a moderator-good job-he's a ropey b*****d that can't do anything right anyways.  |

Hence why you should cut him some slack. And the point i was making is that if he has a number of running battles against different persons the logical conclusion may be that he brings the grief on himself. Seems more realistic than for people who don't know each other to decide to gang up on him does it not? And whatever feelings you have for Simon and how he is the best member on heredoesn't change the fact that I have spoken to Simon privately and he knows how we feel about him and how he feels about us, and explained that it was nothing personal. Now let that please be an end to it. Who really cares about Simon anyways? |

It was contained to our own conversations which Simon had entered into (which as you say he is entitled to do) It's not a personal vendetta against him, it's just funny slagging him off which as i said has been explained to him before. PS You really do love Simon don't you?? I see Becks23 is in trouble as well as Blackstone Cowboy after simon threw his toys outta the pram. Also would it not be possible just to ban Cowboy entirely rather than just as a moderator? I think that would stop this situation-he is the root of all problems...not just bsml related |

...although in fairness Pugford is a nervous wreck after the roasting we gave him.

Sorry guys but I disagree with the banter thing. I've had plenty of Banter on here with various people that I know from around the league. The fact that I know them makes it alot easier to have banter with them as there are obviously certain things we know about each other that can be used as ammunition to slag.
However not one of you guys actually know me. That doesn't seem to stop you coming on here and in my opinion crossing the line with comments like retard, gay references, etc. I could go on.
The fact of the matter is I can certainly take a bit of friendly slagging and don't mind being told to wise up, or catch a grip type thing but for me too many of you have gone to far and in particular BC who felt the need to come on and edit my own posts.
I would be quite happy to have drawn a line under this ages ago and in fact I thought we pretty much had. However when I come onto your board and make comments which are in no way personally slagging you guys off only to get jumped on by about 5 of you then I really don't see that as friendly banter and I think some of you need to think again when it comes to a sense of humour.
