There is no difference in standard.

Very little I agree but still a bit of difference all the same.

I think Simon has given us the answer for next season if we still in the 3rd. No training!

Think the match has been summed up pretty well lads, classic game of 2 halves.
I think it would be hard to dispute that the penalty turned the match. Bein the player involved i'm still totally gutted that it was given in the first place but the re-take was an even more unbelievable decision by the referee.
Fair play to the swifts player involved who admitted to me after the game that it wasn't a penalty in the first place but i'd seriously doubt whether the ref can put his hand on his heart and say he'd have ordered it to be re-taken if the player had tucked it away.
I mean there were as many swifts players encroaching as there were Blackstone, does he expect us just to let them run in for a tap in?
Who was that ref? leaving the penalty fiasco aside he was a hard man to listen to all night. Really gurny and sarcastic and couldn't answer any question without trying to be smart arse. Don't think we've had him before and hopefully we'll never have him again.
Fair play to Swifts, they are a good side and the finishing in the second half was excellent. All in all on last nights game didn't think their was a massive divide between the teams but that is probably evident from the league table. Maybe the fact we had played on saturday gave them the extra impetus once they got a hold of the game after the penalty and meant their was nothing left in the tank for the last 15 minutes to mount a comeback. But as i said some great finishing put it well beyond our reach.
Was also nice to see that their was no malice in the game whatsoever and both teams played the match in the proper spirit.
Now bring on the play-offs, Come on the rovers.

Yep fair summation of events last night, first 60 mins was a great game of football, we really took it to them and were pushin for our third when the pompus fat mustached twat, sorry ref, spoiled the game for every body. the freekick was nearly a worse decision than the penalty retake but to be fair to swifts they took it brilliantly. After going so flat out at the first, when swifts were struggling to keep up with us to be fair, and getting gutted by s**te reffing we collapsed and some great striking from the swifts front men and big rob(only kiddin) took full advantage. really enjoyed a match played in good spirit, credit to both teams as so much was at stake, best of luck to swifts next year, hopefully we'll see you's there, if we play our football then we've as good a chance as anyone. ps Simon, SKINNED!!! ;D

Ha ha I was skinned indeed (twice) and don't mind admitting it. Young Alex is very hard to keep up with at the best of times (hmm hmm and here comes m excuse) but when you're carrying a minor thigh strain it certainly doesn't help. Thankfully he didn't have his shooting boots on.
Thankfully young Billy Whiz Crockard did a better job after I was forced off and never gave him a kick after that.
Anyway Good luck with the playoffs!

sounds like a great game. If the penalty was scored, the first time round encroachment does not matter, if it was missed or saved then it has to be retaken. Its the same situation as the goal keeper moving of his line.

The ref is having a laugh, i know we're not supposed to comment on them on here as they have a tough job but some of his decisions were a disgrace. And that's not sour grapes as you boys were good value for your win in the 2nd half.
