Perhaps Simon could be our moderator?? I remember him deleting a few dwarf related threads on here once before, maybe he had his eye on becoming moderator and has engineered this whole debate accordingly!! I vote Simon to be moderator of our board. First business should be to ban the blackstone cowboy from coming on here ever again

this whole episode has left me deeply saddened. It spoilt my lunch time pint with chop chop and I return to find it still on-going. Why can't we all be friends??............ It proves my point that the internet should only be used for porn. Pav , Simon i forgive you. Blackstone Cowboy you were out of order and deserve to be banished. Has anyone rang Monty to suggest Cowboy is banned from the BSML in general??

Now there's an idea!!!!!!!!!!
But why stop at Monty??
Why not ring the council and get the Cowboy banned from the Borough of Ballymena!!!
He can only play 42 minutes at a time anyway. No stamina (so says Ellen)

Absolutely brilliant boys... this thread has made me laugh out loud on my tod for about half an hour now. I have had my moderator status withdrawn, and just when i thought i was doing a good job for no fee as Sir Pavel has rightly pointed out. I AM GUTTED! Simon, i think we can still be friends. I'm having a birthday party in a couple of weeks time and i'll ask my mum if you can come. You can even bring your "special friend" Pavel as it will probably be a couple's do. That's if he's not too busy finishing one of his novels or finishing writing "Star Wars 7 - return of the ballroots!" Personally, if editing a post for humour value is my biggest crime, then i am guilty and probably deserve the death penalty. Certainly when my forefathers were at Camp with the Nazi's they'd have been punished for less! So farewell my blackstone brothers and others who love interfering in our lovely little blackstone affairs. Peace to all and may the force be with you!

I dont have a problem with challenging authority and it seems a little like a regime sometimes, but simon doesnt have to take s**te from you guys.
Its not as if we need anymore encouragement to beat you to automatic promotion.
You guys wont even get to the play off final!

Too right Rab! Like I've said a thousand times I don't mind a bit of friendly banter/slagging but most of this was far from friendly IMO. I admit me and the Blackstone guys didn't get off to the best of starts but then we had very little to do with each other for many months and I thought it was all water under the bridge yet the first time I make a comment on their page no matter how nice it is they just start from where they left off. Pretty immature IMO. They seem to think their page is like Area 51 ffs. Well I'm afraid they obviously don't seem to understand that anyone on this board is quite welcome to post on any page on this board as long as they are adhereing to board rules.
Its very easy to sit behind a computer screen and act the big man.

Obviously it has cut you somewhere if you felt the need to pointlessly bring a section of my life outside this forum into discussion...I don't see why anything I'm doing has to come into it. Let's put the toys down now and go back into the classroom shall we?

Catch yourself on simon... Calling people names does not imply that we want to fight you or anyone else for that matter. It's merely a means of venting our frustation that since day one you've felt compelled to meddle in our affairs. If you can't deal with being called a homo or whatever else people have called you, then simply don't come in here and read it. The end. ps. if i still had my moderating rights then i'd have erased this thread long ago as it's neither constructive or humorous at this stage. Perhaps as chief division 3 commander head huncho you should consider my humbly given advice.

So you call people who you don't know names like that and just expect them to be ok with it and shake your hand when they meet you. I don't think so.

So you call people who you don't know names like that and just expect them to be ok with it and shake your hand when they meet you. I don't think so. Simon, calm down big man for f**k sake. It's very simple-we don't want to shake to your hand, no one wants to fight you, no one thinks they are a hard man, no one gives a flying f**k if you are upset about being called a homo and quite simply we find it entertaining to give you a bit of grief. Probably because you take everything personally and are easily wound up. We think your entirely harmless, just a bit of a fool who cries when we slag him off, then keeps coming back for more and also uses the abbreviation IMO far too often to be a heterosexual. We also think you take yourself and your football team far to seriously and should just chill out. As has been said numerous times, it's nothing personal but no matter how many times you say that we 'took things too far IMO' were not gonna find it less amusing and will probably just wind you up further. So let's just agree to disagree and stop trying to challenge people to duels when you meet them face to face and just chill big man. Were not a bad bunch and get on with just about everyone we come accross in this league, now stop all this s**te and lets everyone forget about it cos in all seriousness it's not like anybody is going to win this argument or apologise or suddenly change their views.

However not one of you guys actually know me. Agreed. None of us know you and when we play you we won't know or care which player you are. The only Lisnafillan player that I recognise is Beggsy. So how can you take anything we say personally when we don't know you? Please accept that it is just mindless discussion forum banter. Anyway as the Cowboy stated it is maybe time to shut down this board as it is getting a bit dull.

Unlucky last nights boys, we played them off the park for 60 minutes and i think even they will admit [queue Simons response!] that we dominated for that time, no excuses though, they went onto win the game and some of their goals were very well taken, particularly their quick free kick and even i can admit that corner routine was superb! But in saying that we all know goals change games and i think it could well have been a different game had that penalty not been retaken - im not sure if you'll see that again in the Ballymena league and i wonder if it would have been taken again if they had scored with their first! But Congratulations to Lisnafillan who over the season have performed well and i wish them all the best in the 2nd Division next year. Hopefully we'll be there with them! Heads up for the playoffs, massive game, but after our first half performance last night we should fear no one! Bring it on!!

No I actually agree with you. You's played some nice stuff and created a good few chances during that period. From our point of view we were diabolical. Completely s**te TBH. We couldn't string 2 passes together and I put that down to nerves and the psychological element to the game.
Thankfully once we got the second equaliser there was no going back and we showed exactly what we're capable of with some lovely moves and great finishing. Its always hard playing your best football in high pressure games like this but the amount of chances we created in the last half hour was pretty incredible.
As far as the penalty goes I honestly didn't see whether or not your players had encroached or not. Most referees let it go in the BSML but it is a rule that you must stay out until the ball has been struck. Still, I'm sure it was hard to accept after a fine save by yourself so unlucky there.
God knows that we've had some seriously unfair penalties given against us in recent weeks - 3 in total (2 v Glenarm, 1 v Shore). I'm not going into how ridiculous some of those decisions were but maybe that was a case of us getting a wee bit of a break in our favour.
I have to say that your guy was right though that was saying how unfit we were from your team. We haven't trained all season but I didn't want to say about it before as we could have been exploited. I think that makes the manner of our comeback even more impressive though.
Next season we'll definately be training.
Good luck in the playoffs anyway!

if i could just echo what simon said, well done and hard luck last nite blacks
you did play well for 60 mins no one will argue that point and i spoke to u guys at the end re the penalty but as has been said, thats football and sometimes you get the rub of the green and sometimes you dont.
if you guys do play that high tempo football until the end of the season i cant see anyone stopping you in the play offs and seriously do wish you well for them, on last nites first half performance, few could argue that you dont deserve to be there so all the best boys.

I'm talking about proper training. We only played a bit of 5 a side on a Monday night and quite a few of our players have been unable to attend more than half of those sessions due to working shifts, Uni, living in Belfast, etc.
Next season will be different though. Can't afford to not train in the 2nd.
