poopy day is world wide . in our country people think its bout loyalism ..... but both religions gave there lifes in the wars . mcclean has a problem and he likes to b centre attention. A few seasons ago Liverpool and the Mancs refused to have them on their shirts yes i remember that , so why did man u start wearing them wat was the reason for not wearing them

Catch a grip lads. We all know this type of subject only divides the forum. Some can't just accept another's opinion. Well done Mitty!

By the way the poppy is mainly for commonwealth country's not the whole world an as u say for all religions so its up to the individual to decide if they wear it or not so if u wear it fine if u don't who cares life's to short lads enjoy the poppy if u want an wear it with pride leave us people alone who don't wear it

A few seasons ago Liverpool and the Mancs refused to have them on their shirts yes i remember that , so why did man u start wearing them wat was the reason for not wearing them They didnt really give a reason why they just said they had done a lot of work with the armed forces and didnt feel the need to have a poppy on their shirt, but as dowie says them Liverpool and Bolton i think it was got alot of bad press over it so they have a poppy on it now.

I think everyone knows that mcclean is as bitter as they come. There is no point in dressing it up.
Visiting republican prisoners Refusing to play for the country of his birth Refusing to wear a poppy

This poppy business does my head in. too much rememberance in this country. too many wounds still open & it'll be several generations before those who suffered on both sides can move on.
Personally I'd go for a white poppy. It's a symbol of peace and why don't we look forward to a peaceful future instead of all the s**t from the past.

Just because these prisoners are no longer on the republican wing of Her Majesties Prison Maghaberry doesnt make them any less republican.
