I see this cnut is now heading a consortium and buying Plymouth for a quid.....why is this useless bollix allowed anywhere near a football club, and who are the muppets who think it would be good to invest in 1 of his ventures.

This man is a complete and utter useless w4nker. Lives in a dream world and f**ked the mighty Leeds....nearly f**ked Cardiff and have no doubt will f**k Plymouth. The cnut should be banned from football.

Hate this scumbag. Wrecked Leeds. In his and O'Learys books they blame each other but the simple fact is they both screwed up & went on about their business while Leeds almost a decade on are still suffering.

Ye could hardly blame O'Leary if a chairman was giving you endless money to buy players who would't use it?

The way Ridsdale tells it, O'Leary came to him & said i need funds to buy someone (think it was Fowler but not 100%), he was told he would have to sell to buy & O'Leary said once the player was in he'd identify a player to sell & they'd go from there. This was agreed & O'Leary kept putting off the sale until eventually it was too late & the transfer deadline passed. This left Leeds needing champions league football to survive. Leeds beat leicester on the last day that year but liverpool beat charlton to take the 3rd & final champions league slot.

Right right get ya, although he must't be a strong chairman as that story sounds a bit like passing the buck and surely a good chairman would realise these dangers. Take it you a big Leeds fan maccers?

Ye could hardly blame O'Leary if a chairman was giving you endless money to buy players who would't use it? The story doing the rounds was Seth Johnson and his agent arrived to discuss his transfer and contract , his agent had said we should chance our arm for 16k a week.... they walked in and spoke to Ridsdale who said "im not a negotiator, ill offer you 26k a week, what do you say to that"...the Agent said "thats not the amount we were thinking"..... Ridsdale replied "ok, 32k it is then" Absolute rocket

Take it you a big Leeds fan maccers? Definitely wasn't a strong chairman. He even said himself he was a Leeds fan in charge of the purse strings & he made the decisions as a fan rather than a business man. A lot of fans believe if we had of had a mixture of him & Professor McKenzie who followed him things wouldn't have got as bad as they did. Ridsdale was the fan who overspent for success & McKenzie was the businessman who simply sold everything & didnt care as he had no love for the club.

Personally I blame that fceking goldfish.........some it not rite with them eyes of it!!! Certain players could be blamed too but as they say the buck stops with the manager & in O'Learys last year Leeds went top on New Years Day with a 3-0 win v West Ham & next won a game in March. Thats players & manager to blame. This was before any players had left. After that west ham game the Leeds team were involved in a minor air accident which maybe effected tge players more than they thought at the time. The woodgate & bowyer affair was another factor too.

Of course O'Leary has to take the blame as well. Any half intellegent person should know that you cannot spend beyond your means. O'Leary bought poorly....Huckerby, Bridges, Duberry (the donkey)Wilcox, Fowler, Johnston, Keane, Batty, all at inflated prices. None of which delivered (Bridges for 1 season)
Ridsdale borrowed 60 million quid on future gate receipts based on 10 years of champions league involvment. O'Leary did not get the team into the champions league so both are as bad as each other.
Plus Donko's story about Johnston is true, its in Fowlers book. He was at leeds purely for the money and admitted it.
Bates is a complete d1ck as well, but the club is profitable and secure. The only problem is that Bates dont want to flash the cash with transfers or wages, making it next to impossible for Grayson to bring in quality playes. Mid table finish this season for me.

Alot of fans thought leeds would be in a dog fight last year bremner and surpassed many a persons expectations, including myself. I think it is completely unrealistic to even think were leeds will finish next season because they are one of the most unpredictable teams around (i.e. they beat united at old trafford last year and sitting comfortably at the top of league 1 then completely spiral and secure automatic promotion to the championship on the last day of the season). They need some signings, even loan deals id be happy with and bates has come out today and said they are in "serious" negotiations with transfer targets...whether its just to keep us fans happy for a while it remains to be seen but give me ken over that plonker risdale anyday, i loathe the very sight of him! 5-6 years ago any leeds fan would have settled for our current situation albeit we are not in the premier league, but from a financial point of view as we were sitting 80-90 million in the red.
