I think there is a conspiracy against us having a game! We have had one game since 12th December, it's a disgrace! Not really fair when other teams, whom we still have to play, are getting matches in! load of f*****n balls

i think you will find teflon that yourselves and other teams in your division have less than 5 league games left to play so if use were to play every week use would all be finsihed your league campaign by march, i suppose you would complain about that as well??
plus there are 7 teams (including yourselves) sharing 3 pitches at wakehurst which is almost impossible to work with meaning that some teams have to be put down for pitch 6 at wakehurst which is rarely playable!! now if you have some solution to how this can be fixed the league would gladly take omn board your suggestion??

...well I myself feel that not enough is being done by the league. I happen to know that some of the people running the league are retired and have nothing else to do. If they really wanted to do something about it they would head down to Wakehurst at 6am on Saturday morning, holding Harry Maxwell by the tash, and brush all the water aff the pitch. It's not too much for Teflon to ask.
I've also noticed that the guttering around the roof of the changing rooms are in good nick so another alternative would be for both teams to head up to the roof and play up there. There are less puddles up there than on the pitch.
Failing that I'm sure both teams could settle it over a game of bowling at the nearby Sportsbowl.
As you can see Jur88, there is only a few ideas off the top of my head that I'm sure Teflon and the boys have already thought of.....
End this neglection now so that WAFC can have the points on the board and get overtime booked from March til July.....

Galgorm on Saturday was playable and Steadfast jsut say "oh we can't get a team" so no game? wtf? well then your team obviosuly agreed to the game being postponed as both teams need to be in agreement for a game to be postponed!! so therefore should you not take your grievance up with your own club for agreeing to this??

Steadfast asked for the game to be called off as we were struggling to get 11 players for the match. Westend were decent enough to agree to the postponement and I can only thank them for that. Cheers.

Cheers. Actually, fair enough and fair play for still being decent about it all even after my rant. I was talking to someone earlier today connected with Steadfast and he was telling me you were getting it tough fielding a team some weeks. I guess it's just frustration at not getting a game, so with that, apologies for my outburst, i'm sure you would have done the same for us had the shoe been on the other foot. Hope you can get the team back on track, all the best.

It's frustrating but there's plenty of other teams in the same boat with games being off. 1 game in 2 nearly 2 and half months isn't nearly good enough though! I'd be happy to get the rest of our league games done by end of march if it meant we had won the league! Then i'd be happy to play a few cup games here and there to get us ticking over

i was enjoying being few games ahead of dunloy and cullybackey, knowing they must win all their games in hand to keep close. But now it appears they've caught up on games played with dropping anything - so i guess it makes the dunloy v cullybackey game more interesting

Because with cup matches, and Abbeyview and Carniny going so far in the Juniors it would be impossible to predict what pitches would be available - the juniors would always take precedent.
I know that I certainly wouldnt like to arrange nearly 20 matches a week!!!

too right, always mess up the play-off semis for whatever reason. Is it 6 years outta 7 that we've been in them and not even made the final? lol
