yea did ahoghill not play someone all year who had been signed for higher league as well and not tick him for 20 games or something? smiley will get a ban for sure if anyone protests, but would it not have to be the team he played against??ie the intermediate team? He played against Westend and Lisnafillan

This would be my understanding of the whole thing.
He played for Portglenone after he played for Dunloy. Therefore was not illegal in the two games he played for dunloy.
However, I reckon he must be completely inelligible in all football now as he's played for 3 clubs in one season either legally or illegally.

He has to be pele. The rules clearly state that you can not play for 3 clubs in the one season.
Portglenone are in bother as well they've already been caught playing ringers this season.

.....think Harty is right here (for a change lol). Smiley is a cert to be banned if they frame him soley on the grounds of that photo, which hasn't been proved yet, lol.
As far as Dunloy are concerned, I don't think they have any grounds for punishment. The Ahoghill situation was different as far as I'm aware as mentioned earlier in this thread where they were playing ringers, totally different situation. Dunloy aren't the blame here!!!

yea did ahoghill not play someone all year who had been signed for higher league as well and not tick him for 20 games or something? At the time we asked the manager of the afternoon team had they signed him and were told no. As a result he was not ticked on the morning card as we were under the impression he was not a signed afternoon player. It turned out this was wrong and we accepted our punishment. As Smiley only played on saturday past for Portglenone and has yet to play for Dunloy in morning since, it seems they can not be punished until he does turn out in the morning for them

Rab the rule book is given to your manager by Monte at the start of each season, if you want a copy Id say your manager will sort you out with it.

which pretty much ends his time at Dunloy this season. Dunloy would not be willing to be take a points deduction not when they are nearly promoted.
