Was smiley ;D playing for you's on Saturday past, the only reason I ask, there's a great picture of him in the Ballymena Guardian with a Portglenone kit on, if so did this not look out of place with the rest of yous in Dunloy kits.  |

I dont think Dunloy were playing on sat, though I didnt hear anything about smiley leaving, he played in the game against Lisnafillan last week and scored his first goal, that is definately not a Dunloy top he is wearing, is it definately a portglenone one? Can you play for 3 clubs in 1 season? Is he still a Dunloy player? Is he playing both for Dunloy and for Portglenone? there are so many questions

Ahoghill Rovers lost points 2 seasons ago after one of their players played in the Intermediate (afternoon) League and ended up being relegated to Division 2.
Be interesting to see if Monte takes any action on this!!

In a nutshell -
Something in the BSML rules that you are classed as a Higher League player as soon as you play for an afternoon team, even if you havent signed for them.
Our players photo appeared in the paper in the afternoon teams kit and as a result of an "enquiry" by the BSML committee they docked us points from every game he had played for us in the morning.

....that's not Smiley, Butch Dingle got the boot from Emmerdale Farm and decided there was nothing keeping him back from playing for his boyhood club Portglenone!!!
Swear, I know I get stick for being blind but I read the paper earlier and noticed THAT picture, thought to mesel "yer man is the spitting image of big Smiley", turned the page and thought no more about it!!! f**king Stevie Wonder!!! hahaha...

yea did ahoghill not play someone all year who had been signed for higher league as well and not tick him for 20 games or something?  smiley will get a ban for sure if anyone protests,but would it not have to be the team he played against??ie the intermediate team? |
