im just saying you cant have one player doing what he wants and the rest of the club suffers for it the rest of the players lose respect for the manager and hierarchy thats all...i know from playing at demesne that arthur has no hesitation in punishing players...

SURELY ITS PORTGLENONE'S TURN TO LEND A PLAYER TO DUNLOY, OR MAYBE IT'S ALREADY HAPPENED AND THAT WAS DUNLOY'S TURN TO RETURN THE FAVOUR

....wots the big deal? its not as if its harming any teams in the morning league.... Are you serious lad? So your saying that playing higher league players doesnt give an unfair advantage to the teams that dont?? Wind yer neck in! The rules are there for a reason... however gay some of them may be

I think you're slightly wrong there Supersub,
Smiley signed for Dunloy a few months back after leaving Northend. Most of the Dunloy lads didn't know Smiley and he didn't know them. Things didn't work out for Smiley with local clubs for one thing or another and through this wonderful forum the situation was discussed. One of the Dunloy lads knew of Smiley and his talents from personal experiance and the other lads on the forum were reading the many posts from people like myself on how good a player he was. They then decided to offer him the opportunity to play for them and as he wasn't playing for anyone else he took up their offer.
What appears to be the situation here is that Smiley, a BSML player, has possibly played under a false name for Portglenone, unknown to his team mates at Dunloy. Smiley, after signing for Dunloy from Northend, was in a position that he couldn't sign for another club under the news rules of no more than two teams in a season so therefore it would be HIM and Portglenone at fault here and not Dunloy. He wasn't, as you called him, a higher league player as he couldn't legally sign for them. He has the ability to be a higher league player no doubt but as I've said under the new rules it was impossible for him to then sign for Portglenone as he'd been on both Northend and Dunloy's, both BSML, books making him a BSML player and not a higher league player.
And there is my tuppence worth.....

....ps, it still hasn't been proved that this is Smiley, it's all merely speculation at this point lol.....

Dont get me wrong Mr Fish, im not saying its Dunloy who have done anything wrong.
Its Portglenone who are wrong in my opnion as they knowingly have played an inneligible player. They have obviously played a player who was not signed for them, if he has signed for them, then he automatically becomes a higher league player and is therefore not able to play for Dunloy again.
My problem was with flymos attitude that its no big deal who plays for who... Its that reason that the smaller teams in the league dont get anywhere when they come up against rivals who are playing ringers

....oh yes Super, I don't agree with playing ringers either, It does give a seriously unfair advantage against the smaller clubs who can't play ringers, I'm with you 100% on that....
What I'm saying is that there is no way Smiley could have legally signed for Portglenone or any other team, higher league or not, and as he'd already signed for two clubs this season, the fact that they were both BSML clubs means he isn't a higher league player or a "ringer".
I believe that is what Flymo meant (I have no idea who Flymo is) as he understood it that Smiley was a Dunloy player who, apparently, was allowed by Portglenone to play for them under someone elses name. To me that's the situation and the situation as most of us, including yourself and Flymo, see it.
Again, I agree wholeheartedly that the playing of ringers in the BSML is wrong and gives an unfair advantage to any team doing so.....
