No BSML team has ever won the Junior Cup although Carniny have got closest by getting to the semi-final in 1993 and this season so far.
Teams that played in other Ballymena Junior Leagues have won it though.
Cromkill won it in 1951.
Nelsons won it in 1966.
Connor won it in 1979.
In the Junior Shield a few teams from Ballymena have won it.
Summerfield Swifts in 1903.
Harryville Amateurs in 1962.
Cullybackey in 1975.
Wakehurst in 1982 and 1990.
Then from the BSML...
Castletown in 1993 and Raceview in 2002.

seen them play up at mallusk earlier in the season lenny...good team with some very good players. I just fancied carniny to have the edge on them but i suppose thats 'cup' football. big ardoyne 'derby' final now with them meeting crumlin star.

your rite it will be lenny...think they met each other in the junior cup either last year or the previous year with star winning 4-2...ardoyne seem abit more stronger nowadays so makes for a good game.

I was down at this game it finished 5 -3 Dowie got a hattrick.
Carniny were on top and the turning point was that wooden one mccosh throwing one in. The Ardonye number 9 destroyed them smashing wee player but i though Ardonyes two centre halfs were poor.
I thought Carninys big players didt turn up tonight apart from Dowie and Mo McDowell who was at the heart of everything good Carniny did.
