A true Celtic great. Played in the famous 7-1 against the manky mob and was jock steins right hand man during his rein. Also responsible for bringing in Celtic greats like mcgrain bonner and Kenny daglish who he personally talked into signingfor the hoops instead of his boyhood idols.. Guess who lol
REST IN PEACE SEAN "THE IRON MAN" FALLON

Anything under it and they've no chance IMO...and why should they! Honestly think it's a horrible career move, trading in the last 16 champions league to get away a matter of months early but there you go. Certainly think he's better than that. He'll go on to big things I think. Good luck to him, as long as we get our money lol, Don't think Victor will be away just yet though.

Lads ffs don't believe all u read and espc that talk sport/talk s**te im not goina start sprouting off im just off the phone to so and so but Hooper doesn't fancy the Norwich move atm and unless a bigger club come in with the money Hoopers going nowhere, think Austin could end up in Glasgow before the window shuts reguardless if hoops stays or goes as Lenny is resolved to losing him sooner or later. P.s Lenny RT'd a pic of my wee man and Bertie auld the day. Made mine and emmets day

To be honest Fish with this Champs lge 2 legs Hooper and some players look bored and lossing interest without it and be happy to head South. They have got there names out there only really threw Europe and fair play.Celtic will sell for big doe i think and Norwich know they need to cough up big to take him away from a club way 1 massive tie in store. If they don't sell now and IF Juventus beat them the valuation i feel will go down by summer if these two i mentioned perform bad.Moneywise its best time to sell them some clubs are desperate to stay up or get btop four. For fan's it's the last thing you wanna hear. But i think they will go..

If Wilfred Zaha is going for approx 12million and hasn't played in the premier league, Celtic would be looking a lot more for a guy who is 1 year older and has impressed in the Champions League against the best team in the world

Newcastle sniffing around hooper now. Another who be looking him for nothing. The state Newcastle are in these days (on and off the pitch) you would almost think Norwich would be a better move for him. I'd guess there will be a bit of panic buying done at Newcastle in the next week.

Nobody really knows whats going on behind the scenes but you get the vibe that Hopper wants to give the EPL a crack sooner rather than later. At the minute the only teams he is being chased by are teams who are struggling in the EPL. if he had any sense he would play the season out at Celtic, win the league and play in the champions league because more than likely he will sign for a team who will never win the EPL nor play in Champions league.

IMO Hooper should sign a new contract with Celtic take the pay rise, bust his balls with Celtic making sure they win the treble and possibly dump out Juve then re assess things in the summer!!

It ll depend on how badly he wants to move to the EPL. If he wans to go sooner rather than later, there would be no point in signing a new contract because at the minute the balls basically in his court, he knows that if he's out of contract next summer, Celtic will have to sell him this summer rather than let him leave for free the year after, if he signs a new contract then in the future if he wants to leave, its up to clubs matching Celtics valuation, if not he's f**ked.

Plenty of point in signing a new contract atm even if he does intend moving on in the summer 6 months at approx 15/20k extra a week and also keeping his transfer fee as it will decrease in the summer reguardless as he will only have 1 year on his contract.
My bets are Hooper will sign a new contract and stay until the summer.

This all came from a "M8" of hoopers saying he turned it down as he felt he should of been offered terms on a par with the top earners at Celtic park and that really says it all as obviously he would of been offered on par with brown etc as junior said lawell is no mug hence why arsenal tried to head hunt him with a offer of big money a few years back

IMO if he was going to sign, he would have signed by now. I would sell him in this transfer window for top dollar. Leaving it to the summer is too close to him signing a pre contract with someone and laving for free.
Latest is Norwich have offered Grant Holt as part of the deal. f**k that! 31 year old striker past his best is no use to us.

Talk of Spurs being interested now too, now that would be a great move for him.
Was he not on schoolboy terms with them before he was released?

Big fan of Hooper's but for me it's time to move him on. He came for £2m, got better as a player, gave us a lot of good performances and now it's time to cash in as every day his value is dropping. Tony Watt's a ready made replacement and Stokesy is about to come back too.
Can't see Hooper signing a deal then moving on. Only hurting himself in the pocket by doing that. Good luck to the lad. We'll reinvest the profit we made in him and others into the next crop. Lyon done it for years and when you are financially handicapped like we are in the SPL you need to make up for it some how.
