Quasi, you were due to run the Larne Half tomorrow? Take it you know it's been called off? Wouldn't want ye trying to brave those conditions & reaching Larne & no race for ye.

I was called off by PSNI around 9 last nite. Was looking forward to it.Gonna change date for everyone entered till April. To be honest i wanted it out of way now.Hope its end of April when i am tapering down.Atm i am doing 5mile 8mile 5mile midweek and going out to do 15mile shortly here as already up to the 14mile mark.Get me weekend long runs up to 20 mile in next 4weeks then 2 weeks to taper down.End of April hopefully 2 weeks before Belfast would suit most full marathon runners to do Larne half cos they will be all tapering down :-)ran me 1st Half Marathon 3weeks ago.Been lucky to stay injury free no knee probs anymore and lucky not to get cold etc.Did bit of googling and feel i have preparation spot on to get myself over the line 6th May ;-)went into this 2nd Jan knowing fekall but learned plenty in a short space of time.

cheers dude.got sports tracker on the blackberry and seems pretty accurate.Leaving now head to far side of Broughshane to that estate Tullymore used to be and come back.I actually am enjoying it despite the weather of late.Building myself up but weird i aint really outta breath when doing longs now its just joints and calfs get sore so just build up a mile mile and half each week so don't over do it.Weather a bit s**t but good to get out some night's get fresh air and clear the old head to.Prob best move could of done doing this.

Lads as always put myself in for a challenge and got a few he won't do that remarks on here and outside it any wonder though i am 14stone lol.Was up the Antrim rd and at 13mile mark at 1hr 52 mins flying. Then hit the wall at 20mile.Just walked and light jogged the rest but did it in 4hr 35min.Could have pushed meself on and prob got closer to 4hrs but calfs were sore and playing biggest football match in me life so wasnt risking 30mins and being injured to not play on Villa pk Sat after Chelsea game.Doing it next yr and will set a faster time.Up next Larne half in June.Anyone who hasnt did this even a relay its a brill experience :-)ps pele in Eco's next Sat was in other week got 21.38 and went slow cos marathon was only around the corner.Say bye bye to 20.40 gonna break it ;-) lol

Did Larne half marathon last week.Did it in 1hour 46min 16secs(8min miles). Some difference doing a half than a full.Could have done full quicker as me half marathon time tells but had that match at Villa park 5 days later and footie training inbetween on the Thur.Next up is the White collar 13th Sept for me 85kg so havent a clue who i will be fighting prob matched 2weeks before the big nite(excited).hearing George Courtney, Lee Balmer ,Djorjani, Pele Sherman etc from the lge are getting involved.Another good fundraiser :-)
