Getting the miles clocked up now but fek this road running is tough on the knees.Already developed runners knee and had to order an IT compression band to kill the pain only traing 2blamin weeks,never felt this on grass etc.When i get to 6-7miles it gets sore to the point i have to stop :-(still plenty in the tank but pain is nightmare.Anyone suffered runners knee? i picked it up waiting on the right trainers to come off the internet by using s**t one's.Real c**t have the pain outside of kneecap .Feel nothing after mild pain going up stairs thats it not bending knee or anything.After 3-4mile i feel it then its a shooting pain down me leg rest of run.This band should come in post tomorrow hope its me saviour.Doesnt work its a relay for me lol most i have run so far is 9mile .. I had it at the start of last season mate. Between road running and hard pitches. Went to big Gordi McCartney, physio at Ballymena and that's what he told me it was. Fookin nightmare going up and downstairs. He said its a band that comes from below your kneecap up to your waist. Only thing for it was rest!

I heard a thing mentioned on Nolan about a week ago...he was complaining about injuries like that, his obviously was because of his weight, but one guy phoned in and recommended pomegranate juice claiming it really helps! I have done no research on this whatsoever so do a wee google search or something and see if it helps with the recovery!

got this wee app today and way the sleet no work so keeping my rota going and the band wrapped around me knee so i don't drop out 14stone rollerball bell got this wee workout done.no shortage of hills etc to test the lungs www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/166309662 6miles.Did 3 mile last nite.3 fast miles and 10 hills 2morrow then a 10miler Sat.Getting tougher especially on the joints but keep it going :)any one else use this app.Keep following me on it Goram instead of peeking out the windys ;D

passenger in me van lol.Put band on me sore knee never felt it then had to swap it over cos the other knee got sore.If i do this marathon f**k that never doing it again.Deffo hard on the joints and couldnt be good for ye.Will start adding pace after i get the miles up.Doing this Larne half marathon in March so good break in before the big one :-)
