Heard there that this glenravel team had thought about joining are league but decided against it. Therefor never had there letter of interest in at the agm. Then. Once monty seen the new randalstown team were looking in he pestured the glenravel manager to get his team into the league just so we the new randalstown team could be rejected. Gutted we never got into the league but its a disgrace the way we have been rejected.

ive no idea what went on before but from being at the agm it seemed obvious that of the 3 applicants that were in, fc bayer money were the only one getting into the league.

total DISGRACE this has happend, very poor from the bsml league. im sure the other 2 rstown teams had an imput 2 this desision aswell.

So this Glenravel manager is Joe Burrell ? Heard he was taking over there. Pretty lousy if this is true. There should be a proper investigation into what exactly the craic is there .

Team from Ballymoney and Glenravel.Why does Randytown need 3 teams in same lge.Why not have an afternoon 1 and 2 bmsl 1s.Surely this would weaken the 2 teams already in the bmsl with a 3rd and its not like there both in the 1st Div.So village should get behind the 2 in it not seperate the teams further.Just my personal opinion :-)

Cant believe certain people have acted this way.. I was gutted we never got into the league but to find out this makes it ten times worse.
Quasi your prob right but cant see it happen tho I think the blues were looking into afternoon.footy at a stage.

Not often you hear Monty struggling for words, but he was under a bit of pressure tonight at the league meeting when asked about the validity of glenravels application or lack of it.

Seriously Chris I think you need to look closer to home rather than blame monte without knowing the proper facts. From what I've heard a big reason why you's didn't get in was to do with objections for other teams in the area!! Monte certainly didn't push the issue with Glenravel, contrary to what people believe, Monte doesn't give a f**k about who is or who isn't in the league and certainly wouldn't push for someone more than the other.

O we know about the other teams putting the boot in but wat I have said on this is already is true.
Heard about the meeting last nite hunter. And fair play to the person for bringing it up. Its done now and we cant do anything about it tho it is just disgusting the way it happened.

Ok well that's fair enough, I don't know the full in's and out's of it myself, just find it very strange if Monte were to do it that way, ultimately from what I heard that even if there were no other teams looking in then you's wouldn't have got in anyway because of the objections from the other teams in your area. Were you actually going to manage them Chris, you're a bit too young to be doing that. Hard to mix playing with managing.

I keep seeing about Randalstown teams "objecting" & "putting the boot in" as far as I'm aware nobody at The Reds was even contacted regarding Athletic, it wouldn't have anything to do with us. All our players, bar two lads from Castledawson have resigned, so losing players to them wasn't a worry. As I say weather they got in or not was absolutely nothing to do with us.
