Typically outdated s**tty rule if ye checked the amount of stupid rules for this comp there wouldn't b a team left in it. The s**t stirrers who dug this up will be happy now. Can't believe we won't see this final now. Jeff it seems no one dug this up, Carniny just owned up all by thereselves i think.

but what gets me is, they just get to the final then decide "aww well check the rules here now " the last time there was a doubt about one of ther players being eligible they spent over £1000 on solictors to stay in it, now they get to a final an pull out??
it just doesnt add up!!

Huge decision, but ya have to give serious respect to Carniny Rangers Fc for this decision. They broke the rules(awful rule). I agree Lenny. Disagree. So if a Belfast Junior Side had a few quid floating about and brought in a recent Steel & Sons winning side to play a BSML team in the Junior Cup Final you'd say its alright?

AYE ITS COMPLETELY IDIOTIC...u can say what u want about awww rules and what not, but 2 teams will never get to a final again in a junior comp from the BSML, and then to do this just completely takes me to the fair... i would say most of the carniny players are riled at this, just as much as we are.

All players have to be signed by christmas, IMO after that its fair game. If a club can attract a full team of steel n son cup winners, good luck to them.

Totally gutted for the lad...its a stupid rule..Carniny have taken the moral high ground on this one which I hope will stand them in good stead in the future....fair play to them. Its a really disapointing day for our wee league tbh...that a club needs to do this.
I'm really gutted for the Randytown boys who have served our club so well in the past that they can't have the big final they richly deserve...

But its not exactly a hidden rule (if this is the one allegedly broken) given how easy it was to post up here For a club who's raison d'etre is to win this competition it smacks of stupidity. No point in celebrating that marquee signing from Club X if he's the one that gets you turfed out. Potential signings from other clubs should be sounded out about what clubs they've been with and any medals won. Just my opinion...

IMO this competition should be classed null and void, Carniny shouldn't have pulled out, everyone knew both teams made honest mistakes and had played ineligible players, but that's all they were, honest mistakes and so everyone had just accepted them and moved on so they could watch what was gonna be a superb final. Now that Carniny have pulled out I think Homers will be forced to do the same. Which is a shame for the BSML!! Except that the league will now save themselves over £500 ha ha!!

I cant argue with that bap, IMO its an awful rule but its still a rule that every club should be double checking.

Think the whole BSML has lost out in this too, the final was going to be a great advert for the league.
Must say, am also gutted for the Carniny players, probably was going to be biggest day in most there playing careers and been lost to them now, as a player you would devastated.
