There was a protest at the townhall tonight at the sports awards, great to see a good turn out on a very bad evening weather wise, hopefully the council will listen to the many folk who use the facilities and pitches at wakehurst, these facilities are important to us for training and for matches, even to travelling teams. We are in need of a decent playing surface and think it is about time wakehurst seen a share of the seemingly never ending flow of cash the council pour into the showgrounds facilities. Those teams that play at wakehurst deserve better, every team in the BMSL plays at wakehurst at least twice a season, we all deserve better

Wakehurst is and always has been a disgrace!!
It's not all it's craiced up to be at the Showgrounds either. At least Wakehurst doesn't have a f**king Cattle Show every year. In saying that, there are some rare specimens graze on it through the season. Does Kirk Greene still play for the Swifts??
There are many issues, not just Wakehurst. I know All Saints have been fighting for some acceptable facilities down at the Waveney (as I'm sure have Waveney themselves. I just happened to be talking to a Saints person about it) and after using them last week against Inter Stars I can see why. The changing rooms hold about 8 people and yer trying to fit a squad in them!! Unreal....
Still although I complained there about the Showgrounds I'm happy enough....

....I'm with ye Rat and on the subject the Albino from Harryville is bound to have Trigger's brush shaft at hand. We could purchase it from him at an inflated price and throw it in the back of the van too before heading up near the Rugby Club to probe Currie....
