Moylena 3-1 Michelin

Another disappointing result again today, although it was probably our best performance since we beat ASOB ( shows how bad we've been recently!)

Hard to argue with the result when they had 4 shots and scored from 3 of them, we had 2 shots and scored 1.

We probably started the better team, playing some decent stuff without getting anywhere near scoring. They took the lead when they scored with their lad at least3 or 4 yards offside. The scored again right before half time when they scored from 35 yards after some slack play all round from us.

2nd half again we played ok without threatning, Moylena scored a third when hitting us on a break. In truth by then we had ran out of ideas and it was only when db09 came on it changed the game for us, although we were down to 10 men at this stage we put alot of pressure on and db scored after good work from Leroy.

We felt we really got nothing from the ref today, especially with he first goal. It says alot about his performance when he sends a good living fella off for dissent

Anyway good luck to Moylena for the rest of season, for us a nice wee game against carniny on thursday :-)

Not a bad summary of the match to be honest. Michelin worked their socks off but lack a lot of quality. Your goal came from a silly mistake to give away possession. The sending off doesn't if your are good living or not. If you keep persisting to mouth off plus he brought down a player cynically when clean by him, you can expect to get a couple of yellows.

I spoke to our players about the 1st and 3rd goals and they said thev1st was offside but the 3rd wasn't. I think you got away with a couple we were called offside for so it all evens itself out. We've been on the harsh end of decisions too but you can't really complain when you have no linemen.
