Homers apparently or allegedly have contacted the Co Antrim regarding the eligibilty of 1 of their players.....comittee to meet on Weds night and game has been postponed until the outcome of this meeting....turning into a shambles !!!

Both clubs should have said nothing...I'm sure every winner of these competitions have been in breach of some of these rules one way or another over the years!!
Think the rule book needs a good overhaul too...f**king ridiculous!!

total shambles , if certain "supporters" had kept their noses out of other teams buisness to start with , we could have had the biggest occasion in bsml league history. now its turned into a bitching session, homers vs carniny always draw a good crowd but wait to the next match to see how many people turn up to see a kicking match and bother. just hope both sets of players keep their heads and dont make this whole situation worse than it already is.

To be fair imo the players should know. I was never much of a footballer but played a good bit of snooker & could tell you every final i've ever been involved in. Is the bsml full of that much talent that boys have been in that many finals they cant remember. Surely it should be a case of who have you played for? You ever been in a final & if its a yes the secretary can look into it further.

what was to be a great night for the bsml has turned into one of the biggest embarassments, all because of silly rules that quite frankly could never suit any team in bsml as the players coming and going through teams is unreal, feel big time for the players who are or could miss out on probably the biggest game they will play in. Co Antrim fa need to take a long hard look at the rule book. |

I would prob say if Valley Rangers were checked proper next it will be them to thats broke rules as well.Like we said when Carniny came out and admitted there mistakes prob 75% of teams entered have broke some minor rule not threw there teams fault but cos the folk running the competion arent up to date way technology and its all a farse

Reports I heard was this outcome was a direct result of people getting at each other during their last fixture, some supporters claiming the other team was guilty of rule breaking....if so, Jesus Christ!! I'm sure it's only one or two individuals but they have to have a good look at themselves!!! When everyone logged on in the aftermath many members were able to name players from either side who possibly had played "illegally" as the rules state...if this row hadn't taken place I can't help but think this would never have come to light and we could have witnessed a first class advert for our league and a fantastic final. |

I remember playing Portavogie Rovers i think for Penarol and in the showers asking one of their better players how were they doing in the league, he looked back at me as if i had two heads ;D
It seems all the opinions on here are of the IFA being at fault but simply you have to play within the rules, they are their for a reason. I know that we had to leave out numerous players because of the rules so its not really fair some clubs leaving players out who have played at a higher level and others playing them.
Hopefully with the farce that has occurred this season and other seasons the IFA or CAFA will have a full reveiw of the rules and update them.
