Just heard the very sad news that Jim Stynes has passed away, very very brave and inspirational man, who will be missed by thousands that he helped and inspired around the globe. You fought a good fight big man, but are no longer in pain. RIP Jim.

Here is a very short clip about it. I recommend any sportsman to watch it, or anyone struggling with any problems, mental, physical or other, in any walk of life.

For anyone interested, there is a documentary tonight on RTE1 at 11:40 about Jim Stynes, it's called "Every heart beats true" I would recommend everyone to watch this, what this man done for so many is unreal, and all while battling a horrific disease. The measure of the man can be recognised in that he was given a state funeral in Australia and yet he wasn't even Australian. Things like that are only ever given to Royalty and the like. I would also guarantee that anyone that watches it will be emotionally touched like they have never been before.

Just after watching it, to be honest I had never heard of the guy until he died but I've an interest in any sport documentaries so give it a view.
What a superb programme it was, he truly seemed like a great great man, never mind sportsman . Looked like he went through hell with his battle. No shame in saying the tears were near tripping me at the end.

Jesus lads...
I only got round to watching this late last night. What a truly wonderful man. The word brave doesn't even cover the inner character of this man. What a battle, what a man!!!
As others have said, many lumps in my throat I got throughout but the peice at the end where he was in the center of the group, dear God...one of the most heart breaking minutes of television I have ever watched!!
RIP Jim, a genuine warrior!!!!
