Thoughts and prayers are with the young man.
Frightening scenes if ever I saw. Tears from both fans and players.
I just hope to god he pulls through.

Agree totally Pele and Quiggs, shows that the physio, probably the least paid guy on the bench, has the most responsibility of everybody. Perhaps FA should have them greeting the teams at the FA Cup final

Brill news.Cassano's heart attack was no were near as bad as Muamba's and he is not rushing back.I would suspect pro football will be to much for this talented young man and he will be told to stay away most likely. On Sat night we have a charity do at the Rugby club Ballymena. Our club knows full well how devastating a sudden heart attack can be on a young fit player after the death of our captain. Its scary stuff at the charity the cash raised will be donated to C.R.Y it is trying to get teams playing lower league tests to prevent this even heart defibulaters etc.Young lad at the past Milk Cup was lucky to.Its a tux and meal followed by an auction but its £10 in later for anyone wishing to attend the disco all for a good cause and starts at 10.30. www.c-r-y.org.uk/

I was actually saying today that god forbid if this happened at our level the player would be dead. The medical treatment Muamba got was top notch.
Very nice thing to do of the Rovers to have a night for Steven.

Very nice thing to do of the Rovers to have a night for Steven. Its Steven's Fiancee's father is having it.Hes big on the rugby scene and that sport has a lot of buisness men rich guys etc as you's know hence the tux lol.A lot of the stuff for auction isnt just football tops.Think theres loads of diff sporting stuff from Rory McIroy clubs to signed Ireland rugby tops etc.I wont have the cash to out bid them but knowing me with a few beer will throw the hand up at silly doe.Theres a few lads from different clubs attending the auction i have been told but Rovers will have there tables.Kathryn is having another 1 with just football stuff for auction and just in the pub later down the line to suit every1 as this is a pretty expensive night. As you say it prob the scariest thing and least likely you would expect when you put the boots on in a Sat morn before going on the pitch.Be good if folk can get tests at bmsl level and youth level rather than just pro clubs and hopefully the cash raised is a step towards getting this

Be up to the club men who knows 1st aid. Then a lot of clubs don't have guys even know it.Hopefully the charity helps get clubs awareness built up and teams players checked and couple of lads each club with the know how.I am on the same boat dont even know what they look like.Hear more Sat night about what there aim is.Atm i dont even know the menu and it stung me £30 not even counting renting a tux lol.All joke on the side its deffo a good charity and unfortunatly Muamba's collapse makes us aware no matter how fit and clean dieting you are it could happen to anyone.Reading Muamba was Christian and didnt drink etc so prob last person on the pitch you would expect.Good to see smaller clubs in football given support way charities and try prevent these things occurring or if they did the tools that could be life saving :-)

Unfortunately it takes someone high profile for the powers that be to actually act on it.
Cormac McAnallen's mum and the wee kids father from the Milk Cup were on talkback today calling for measures to be put in place for heart checks and other things to be put in place.
It all boils down to dough i suppose.
