Homers much the better side in the end, well deserved.
McNeills goal was sheer class.
Taking absolutely nothing away from homers, who won tonight with 10 men for a good 35 mins and missing a string of players, but that Basement side were very very average
That venue for such a big game was a disgrace!

Homers more than deserved their win, great second half performance after a tight first half.
Campbell scored a header from a corner or free kick to go one up.
Second half it was all Homers then big Barry McDowell took a Basement player down near his box which resulted in a second yellow for him and from the free kick it went straight in for a goal(Studds should of done better)
Even with ten men Homers looked more likely to get the winner and they did through a Rainey header, again a bad mistake from the Basement keeper. Homers third goal was absolutely outstanding from Paul McNeil, superb take then turned the defender inside and hit a thunderbolt from 25 yards in off the underside of the bar - great way to win any game.
I thought young Campbell was excellant tonight and Bonez at centre half was solid too.
Very disappointed in Basement tbh, imo poor side.
Will be a great final if Carniny win tomorrow night - Good luck to them.

brillant nite for the homers  up 1 nil , man sent off . down to 10 men . basement scored from freekick... homers heads never dropped . homers got spotkick , scooty missed . homers kept goin and bment keeper scored og . . then wat a strike from p mcneill , top corner .... ref was awful . there no chance he will ref the final . stopped game every sec ;D.... basement lost it and got two off  homers fanbase made sum noise . well done lads ........ |

Who was missing for the homers tonight? foggy, misty, mcburney. Bench was Gibson, rusty, budgie and jeff mitchell. I think the 1st 3 there were still struggling with injuries. |

well done homers fully deserved win. did well to keep disciplined with that goat in the middle.
As others have said Basement were poor. It was a matter of when, not if homers scored.

when homers get budgie and rusty back for final ... it will b major boost .
cos they have misty,mcburney,mcvicker and big john all back this sat for league . so rusty and budgie wont b rushed back .
great result for a patched up side ........
wee rainey did brillant last nite , his tracking backing and defendin game was good , its normally his attackin game games the praise . .
thought darren campbell was super in the middle .

after getting man sent off, conceading straight away and missing pen...i def thot that it just wasnt meant to be lol  so glad rainey knocked in that header, and mcneil sealed it with a peach, worked so hard for it! that basement team were out on there feet the last 15 minutes! and whenever they made it 1-1 i never heard a cheer/roar like it, even big andy shourki was at the match and shouting ha ha ha...was loudest roar ive heard on a pitch thats for sure lol but nways just so glad to get there, roll on the final now |
