great tackle not even a foul.
Lampard gets booked against Wolves and Kompany gets sent off.
Inconsistency is shocking.

Laws of the game say its a red and i would be amazed if he wins the appeal.
Unfortunately that is the way the game is going which is sad to see and players are gonna have to adapt simple as that.
Another thing Kompany did't need to fly in like that as once Nani see's him he's jumping any tackle.

What is the law? Does it actually say about 2 footed or is it because it is considered to be "wreckless"? Agree with the no need. One leg would have been more than enough. Don't like to see Rooney running up to ref waving cards. Just because everyone else does it doesn't make it right. Strange for Mancini to be complaining though as I pretty sure I have seen him running about waving cards this season!

id like to see more room for intrepetation, in my opinion that wasnt the same kind of 2 footed tackle where both legs are together and straight and i think the 2 should be kept separate. i dont see why he lifted the other leg at all, i think i yellow would have been sufficient as he won the ball but had me mistimed the tackle then Nani could have been in bother!

I think the rule is 'wreckless' but when a player goes in with two feet off the ground its hard for a Ref not to send him off or he will prob get punished. Rooney's reaction seemed to make the Ref's decision up as he did't seem to go to is pocket until Rooney appealed so he was maybe in two minds himself. Tbf to Rooney he is only looking after the interests of his team and most players would react the same imo. Seen Mancini waving the card the other week and the cnut did't even think he was doing wrong in his interview, glad he tasted a wee bit of karma

I think this is the problem the refs are't allowed to use common sense anymore.
