You're second sentence sums up what I was saying, you're only supposing what his reasons were!! Not exactly an informed choice!! And I've read my post several times, not embarrassed by it at all!! No one on here knows his reasons because he hasn't publicly said what it is, he is keeping it to himself!!

OK granted I'm only supposing (balance of probabilities) what his reasons were but it is a calculated guess (am I allowed one?) I mean what other reasons could he have? Poppy too big/small/ not his fav colours/ not fashionable enough/ prefers roses get real - Sherlock Holmes wouldn't have had to light his pipe to deduce that one - we'll just agree to differ on the matter ok

I never said his decision was right or wrong, but ultimately it is his decision and should be free to choose without getting slated from the likes of you and I!!!
The reason I commented on your post was because you said he didn't make an informed choice, I was simply pointing out that you were infact doing the very thing you accused him of!! Your slating of him was without doubt not an informed choice, as neither you nor I know his reasons. We can guess his reasons, but guessing is not an informed choice!!

And of course you are allowed a calculated guess, but you are being hypocritical in slating him about not making an informed choice!! It was this hypocrisy that I was pointing out!! Nothing more, nothing less!!

What I will say though, those people that fought on the two WW's done so and sacrificed their own lives to allow anyone in Great Britain and Ireland to have their own freedom, both in speech and actions. So for anyone to slate any person for not wearing a poppy or for slating anyone wearing a poppy then that is doing a massive injustice and showing a lack of respect to our glorious dead. Maybe I am totally wrong on this, but I personally think this is right, and I most certainly don't want to offend anyone on either side of the divide!! Always well written and clever posting BFP. I will not comment on McClean however I will refer to part of your post. Forget about religion/political beliefs etc regarding wearing a poppy. You have clearly hit the nail on the head by saying "those people that fought on the two WW's done so and sacrificed their own lives to allow anyone in Great Britain and Ireland to have their own freedom, both in speech and actions." What a hell of a thing for someone to do for me and for you.....now I was brought up to mannered and respectful and for someone not to acknowledge this GREAT sacrifice is simply disrespectful. Let me put this to you. If someone had saved your son/daughers life...for whatever reason, and all they wanted from you was you to wear a badge to acknowledge that fact one day a year....would you wear the badge for them. I think regardless if you wear a poppy or not, I think its fair to say that you should be respectfull to the people who sacrificed their lives for us.

Who is this antrimwhu goat anyway.... so he thinks if teams cheat and play ringers its OK and the other teams shouldn't report them. The quicker people with an attitude like his get out of the BSML the better.
Teams or managers who do it are bad enough but people who think its OK is shocking imo

Bremner I fully appreciate what these great men done for each and every one of us, and they deserve the greatest of respect. The problem that some people (not I might I add) have with the Poppy is that it doesn't just honour the glorious dead of the world wars, it also takes in all of the British armed forces, the same armed forces that were found to be guilty of murdering the 14 men in Derry, and 6 of them coming from the Creggan estate that James McClean is from. Since that awful Bloody Sunday massacre the people of Derry have campaigned for justice for their own dead loved ones, so never mind the issue of freedom of speech/actions etc, but with James McClean being from this estate in Derry, some might say it would be hypocritical of him to wear a Poppy to honour the same group that were guilty of these murders. Like I said, I don't know if these are his reasons, but what I am stating is that no one knows mcleans reasons for not wearing it, so why is he being slated for it? The fact still remains that his and anyone's personal choice should be respected. Here's a link in today's Irish post, I didn't want to put it up here as its somewhat Irish biased, however it is well written and perhaps makes a good argument for his actions. irishpost.co.uk/index.php/component/content/article/27-comment-a-analysis/649-why-would-a-son-of-creggan-wear-a-poppy

We aren't waiting on any points, not sure how many we have played in the league but have won them all, I noticed they had that mistake in the daily mirror a while back as well.

Technically I agree with Sir Davy, except the Germany bit the Bawbag! Let's get back on topic. Just look at the last lot of pages, one side all supporting one argument and the other side doing the same for theirs. It's never going to be any other way! I'd of made a decent wee German though!

Harry redknapp not too slow, puts the advance talks out to the press to force Qpr to sack Hughes and it works like a charm ;D
That's my take on it anyway, just need Qpr to hire redknapp now but maybe I've just a suspicious mind ;D

Dont think he really needs to bring in too many new players, Looking at that squad on paper, is a top 10 squad ,so let's see what he does with them....and Hopefully he relegates the just like he relegated Southampton.

Disagree about the squad, I think it is absolute dung. Mark Hughes for me has always been quite strategic in the transfer market and bought players in areas that was vital, in the summer he was just so sporadic, so unlike him or any of the clubs he managed. This job is made for redknapp aswell, a decent team that can only really get better and if they get relegated Hughes gets the blame. Be interesting to see if he can get them out of it but be great to see him back in the game as I like him.
