As an independent sheep who observed the game in my neighbouring Stoneyhill Park I must say that the Rovers deserved their victory. The hefty guy up front Black I think was hugely impressive in the first half. His range of passing was superb. In the second half the Swifts missed numerous chances but kept the impressive Black quiet. It is strange how teams are always better "down the slope". Or maybe not so strange. There was a few meaty challenges and Rovers should have had a second penalty but Swifts will rue their missed second half chances and not recalling Fraggle to the starting line up. Over the season and the two derby games, the sheep feels that there is not much between the two rivals but notes that the Rovers may need much fortune to match the achievements of Glencloy in maintaining Division 1 status after the first season. If the Swifties go up their previous Div 1 experience will be useful but in reality their stay may be shortlived.

GLenarm fully deserved their win on the night, no-one can argue with that. GLencloy had quite a few scoring opportunities but it just wasn't to be.
I see glenarm have since had a little blip which has given glencloy a small chance of capturing the title, but a result tonight should seal the league for glenarm, who im sure are worthy winners. if swifts grab 2nd automatic spot it will be good to see the 2 coastal teams in Div 1, let the derby games continue.
