Committee a shambles is correct..
Few seasons ago there were 3/4 players looking to leave and they refused to sign forms for them to leave until the players just point blank refused to play for them.. they have ruined what could be a good wee club..

From what I hear the clubs not entirely to blame this time the manager has lost a number of players (a lot of which were his fault) and failed to replace them despite promises. First team is now largely made up of kids from the seconds. Club is a mess. I think what you heard was wrong. I have been reliably informed that in Jan they were actively looking for players and when they mentioned CCFC the players wouldnt come. When new players didnt come the ones who were there stopped training and playing

Mate says the reserves assistant is stepping up to manage firsts and the reserve manager is staying put. Rumours going about that they interviewed someone last week & he's getting the job in the summer. He couldnt remember the name though but it was someine he didnt know. The stuff he's told me this year is crazy. We're far from perfect but I'd say we're better run than they are. Training when they can be arsed, boys not turning up for games etc. Personally I think the step down would help them but they've survived again this year on a technicality so more than likely the same s**t again next year. They have a guy Hatfield or Stanfield from Glenavon. He will probably bring Glenavon reserves but they will want money. its very simple if you pay players they will come and so will the results

lads, c this money issue . money is thing off the past in irish league n championship 1 or 2 . all these young lads want money. all they should b wanting is a game in the champ1 or 2 and hopefully get spotted way a Irish league club . its ur goal now adays. clubs cant pay players . business are all running low and have to look after there money. coagh struggling to keep payin there players . and they are one off the best payers at that level. welders will always b ok, as they have a cracing club on the newtonards rd which does sum run .
irish league club also getting it tight atm, gates are down. no one watches it . sad thing is , our footballing in this country is well behind.
so young talents need to forget bout money n try n reach the top .
example a championship club pays 15 if u win . u would have that spent in the bar after game in an hour. b greatful off geting a chance to play champ 1 or 2

Chimney corner reserves didn't fulfill their fixture yesterday as they 'couldn't field a manager' (their own words apparently). Had the players though. Couldn't make it up

My point was if this new guy brings a lot of Glenavon reserves they will want something. If Corner dont pay the players wont come..... Same again next year

Bringing in Glenavon players is just the same mistake being repeated again.....there is enough quality in the town in the BSML and Antrim Rovers to get a good squad together, and maybe get some local interest back in the team

There's no interest among the local players to go down there though donko that needs addressed. Maybe if they had one or two half decent seasons with outsiders it might just attract some local lads down. Don't know what the best way forward for them is to be honest

Messages sent out this morning saying squad of 16 tonight and letting people who are worried about not getting a game to contact manager. Next thing text sent saying match off. No explanation given. Was meant to be away to moyola reserves. Im not totally sure but is their pitch not 3g? Strange club...

I think now people are just looking for faults lol surely the main thing is getting quick notice out when a game is off and that's been done as has been said moyola res play some games at bounce sq so would assume that's why it's off. As for contacting the manager if you were rushing back from work for a match you would wana be told if your not starting or getting a game seems common sense to me. And it's all can really be done without telling everyone the team

Nobody does drama like Chimney Corner. The seconds were a point or two behind Carnmoney with both teans to play York Road and Corner to play Red Star. York Road couldn't field on Tuesday and forfeited the game which meant a Corner win tomorrow would see them promoted. Carnmoney have complained about it and in his wisdom, Billy McIlroy has said the game will have to be replayed. Corner have told him they play their last game tomorrow and that's them done. Corner have also pointed to the cup game v fc larne were they couldn't field and never got offered a replay. Promises to be an interesting week or two.

In his wisdom? Have a word with yourself. Rules are rules. That would mean every game that was forfeited due to not being able to field a team would need to be rearranged. Sounds like sour grapes. What's not to say York Road won't be able to field against Carnmoney or Woodlands?

What's not to say York Road won't be able to field against Carnmoney or Woodlands? Have a wee read at that again and then go off on your rant. I'm with Corner on this one. They forfeited a game and never got the game replayed so why should that game be replayed? York Road deserve a bit of grief over it but as far as im concerned Corner haven't done anything wrong.

My problem is with Billy who is a stickler for rules. He still hasn't got over the Dollingstown saga. He was convinced Chimney Corner were coming into his league before Dollingstown had points taken off them. Chimney Corner Reserves play in Junior Two and that is all Billy should be concerned about. Apologies if it came across wrong.

Apologies if it came across wrong. Billy makes a joke of his own league tbh. As you say hes a stickler for the rules one minute and then the next minute he lets teams decide what league they play in. Two years ago half the third division didnt want to go up and the team in 5th/6th said they'd go up. Same thing ended up happening in the second and the team who finished 5th/ 6th in the third ended ip in the third. Some people give monty stick but he runs a far superior league imo to the afternoon league. Corner won 3-0 today so unless billy makes them replay that york road match they're promoted to junior one.

It will eventually end up an Old Boys League. 54th Old Boys have applied as well as 18th NA 3rds. Seems a long time since Connor, Rasharkin etc sad to see a local league struggling.

We played Ulster Shankill Rangers Club in the Junior Shield and they were saying the Belfast Old Boys League is in bad shape and teams are all trying to get into Amateur League or BPIL.

Neither they should. if they win junior one and had aground then let them up but its a big step going from junior to intermediate. York road have been looking into amateur league. Got turned down last year due to a poor disciplinary record.
