Corner beat in the 1st round of the Steel And Sons again! Was 2nd round, they would have played DC reserves in next round, that could have been interesting

Watched this one on Saturday. Corner were poor in the first half. They deserved to go in 1 down even though they missed a penalty. Dont know what was said in the dressing room at half time but a different team came out in the second half. Some very good football and 2 class goals. A deserved win based on second hald performance.

Was at Corner again yesterday. Corner were by far the better team although Ballymoney kept going at them. This one could have been a draw or Corner sould have had it wrapped up at half time. More of a battle than a match but a deserved win again for Corner. Might just go again next week.

Ballymoney are in dire straits at the min so wouldn't be getting to excited about a chimney corner win

2 wins in a row I think. Now that no-one is getting relegated from Champ 2 I think the pressure is off them

Ballymoney are in dire straits at the min so wouldn't be getting to excited about a chimney corner win I know they have lost a few good players dingle but what exactly has happened there that things have got so bad? Was it Joe leaving or had it already started before then? Seen on Irish league forums (though it may not be true) that they were considering going to training one night a week training cause of lack of numbers.

Thats unreal, was a superbly run club with high standards few years back! Even though the chairman used to wear odd shoes!

When I watched ballymoney a few years back, although they never seemed to score too many goals, always were hard to break down. Yer man Sid in nets was unreal.

They can go down its just the teams that apply to come up dont meet all the requirements Was it not ruled last week that after Newry have been removed there will be no relegation from 2 this season. Think an extra team goes up from Champ 2 this year, so a new team will automatically be entered (but if no-one has the facilities, then Champ 2 will have an odd number)

Not 100% sure what is going on. I know they have a shockingly bad injury list at the minute which wouldn't help but things have basically went downhill since Joe left. Can see a few more players on the move sooner rather than later as the football side of things are no better than your average pub team at the minute.
First I heard of moving to training once a week - poor if so

Ballymoney are in dire straits at the min so wouldn't be getting to excited about a chimney corner win Think a wee bit off credit due to the Corner. Same Ballymoney team beat the Comrades the previous Sat in Ballyclare. Been told that a few off the players Kelly signed have been unavailable until now. Be interesting to see if they can keep it going.

Talking to Pearse yesterday, he was playing on Saturday, went in for a tackle, ended up his elbow stuck in the mud, but the rest of his body carried on, rushed to hospital, shattered his upper arm, possibly needing surgery. Ouch!!!

"due to a few reasons" is what a player was told tonight. crazy. i'd like to see corner do well but they sound like they are ran worse than most bsml teams. rarely have a training session were they have numbers to field a team. poor, especially for an irish league club. their seconds usually have more at training than the firsts.

I'm amazed the club is still going, only way it makes money is through the kids academy, and numbers are falling away at it too
