This is the unfortunate thing with having to do courses to be qualified to coach, so many good football men just either could't be bothered going through the process or can't afford it. Just because you have a piece of paper to say you have a certain level of coaching qualification don't mean you can coach imo, so much more to managing a football team. Don'y get me wrong i would like to do some more coaching courses in the future as i found it very interesting, my point really is that so many great football brains leave football once they stop playing. Couldn't agree more....for me its like the academic and the tradesman......You could have all the knowledge in the world and all the coaching badges in the world but if you cannot demonstrate and get your point across to your players effectively then you are wasting your time. A tradesman can demonstrate his trade well and if he can communicate well.....he would be my man. Bet that's clear as mud.... ;D |
