From what I hear it was started by a galgorm player headbutting an antrim player who then retaliated. The galgorm player waited for the athletico player to come of the pitch and the two started again at which point the galgorm sideline got involved and then the rest of the athletico side. Faults with both sides but if someone from galgorm had of taken the lad away from the pitch when it was clear what he was waiting for it could have been prevented. They only have themselves to blame if they lose out in the rearranged game. That came from someone who watches our games and was only there as our game was off so would be a neutral Fair enough Jeff but if your informant watches an Antrim team regurarly every nweek then he's hardly 'neutral'.Ive played against both teams countless times and never had any problems with Galgorm.......thats all im sayin  He has no love for athletico to say the least tbh he was probably watchin it hoping for a galgorm win. I don't think galgorm can deny that their player started it with a headbutt and kicked it off again by waiting for the other player to come of the pitch after that both teams failed to control their players. |

This def. doesn't sound like Athleticos style. I have reffed them a few times this year and absolutely no hassle from their players or sideline. I know that things do happen in the heat of the moment and sometimes get out of hand but whats done is done and the league will sort it out.

Well i have played against both this season and we didn't have any bother with Galgor m. Antrim away i thought there sideline were very very mouthy, and they couldn't keep 11 on the pitch that day either although for mouthing rather than anything dirty. Not saying Antrim are to blame for this, just that it seems when things are not going there way then the discipline goes out the window. Maybe its the pressure getting to them. ;D ;D  A bit like cushendall against us last season...couldn't take getting beat William!  |

hope the bsml dnt take to much action cause it was just two teams backing each other up like any other team would fair play to both teams but it is a game of football at the end of the day lads chilax out

you all need to **** up. end of the day galgorm player started it, then there was a brawl in which a few sly moves were performed, match abandoned and to be replayed. all you external commentators that werent even there should focus on your own football

tell me dis then the junior 1 if a player kicks out at u twice once off da ball are u goin 2 say aww thanks for dat m8 are retaliate i think i know wat most ppl would do plain and simple fact is ur player couldnt take da fact dat yous were being played off da park so had 2 resort to kickin players i think he kick dat galgorm player more times da he kicked da ball all game :-(

Monk monk am pretty sure the guy who got kicked gave as good as he got a he kicked out as the ball went out of play for our throw in. And our guy in question u talk about is no a dirty player he's a honest as they come his only problem is he doesnt know any other way to play than full throttle you should see him at training lol . End of day it's done and dusted now

Hold on monk monk, they were both at it as you'd expect in football until galgorm player lashed out, playing us off the park haha long ball tactics only work on a small pitch. Credit where credits due, yas deserved points that day bt all to play for again now

Junior it's the bsml forums and us outside commentators are entitled to our opinion. I will post about it if I f**king want. If you don't wanna talk about it then slide on....the thread was started to give people there opinions on what happened and that is what they are doing. So if you can't take it you f**k up.

I was at this game and the stories being written here do not acurately reflect what happened. Antrim tried to bully and intimidate a very young Galgorm side from the start. The Galgorm player who was sent off had been elbowed in the mouth by an antrim player who subsequently laughed at him when he complained. He had a split lip and was bleeding from his mouth. A few minutes later he was kicked hard from behind while clearing the ball from his own penalty area, an injury which required hospital attention, and although xrays showed there were no breaks he has been off work yesterday and today, unable to put his full weight on it. It was the antrim player who ran up to him and went face to face and although I dont condone his behaviour I can understand his frustration as the ref had let antrim off with several bad tackles on Galgorms youngsters and despite appeals from Galgorms manager and some of the more senior players seemed happy enough to let it continue. The reason the fella ran from Galgorms touchline to the changing area following the sendings off was because 4 antrim players ran to it first and it looked as though they were going to do something on the Galgorm player. If they hadnt ran after him none of the ensuing behaviour would have taken place and the game could have been finished. The antrim sub or whatever he was got punched because he raised his hands first to try to move the man out of the way so he could get at the Galgorm player. If he says he wanted to protect his own player then maybe he can tell me why, as there were already 2 antrim players in the changingroom complex with the Galgorm player and I dont think he would be capable of taking on 2, especially as 1 of them would be almost twice his weight. I do not agree with any of the things that took place but if the ref is going to allow 1 team to kick and abuse another, especially when they are 16 or 17 then I can see why they were angry and frustrated. This is the true series of events which took place and I expect plenty of replies from antrim telling us how innocent they are but trust me this is an accurate account.

I love it when people start whining when a young un gets kicked cos 'f**ks sake he's only 16/17/18'
If hes old enough to act the Johnny Big Bananas mouthing then he should not suddenly play the age card when a bigger boy gives him a kick or a slap.
Not referring to this incident, just junior football in general. Thanks for your time.

in truth the whole situation could have been avoided if a few card had been showin earlier in the game would have calmed a few boys down. and as for the ref i couldnt belive it wen he blew his whistle 4 a foul and when he seen it was inside da box he waves play on were do they find dem
