done all we could to get this game on today after the ref not turning up. offered to ref a half each or even give them the chance to ref the full game but they just didnt want to get beat today it seems. we even offered to play a friendly with them as the pitch had to b paid for anyway but they still didnt fancy it. top 2 team i wouldnt think so going by this

Seems the 3rd division has had a few problems with refs this year. It's happened to us twice already this season although one of them games was in the junior shield.

Its not good enough Davy, we had to pay for a pitch even though we had no game, Very disappointed. I wonder what the reaction would have been if we had decided that we couldn't play at 9.30 on the morning of a match, as half the team was sick? Should have been organized better. Surely there are a pile of refs free today as there were so many matches off. Could have worked instead ffs

Mate when we played Athletico we were the only game on that night and no ref turned up, it's not the leagues fault as they assigned a ref and he didn't bother his arse turning up
We had to pay for the pitch that night also. And people had booked half days of work to play...the ref should be punished in some way if he did not have a satisfactory reason.

Any game cancelled due to a ref not turning up should ,as I think previously discussed,be brought upto the league commitee asap and any recompense sought ! There seems to be a bit of subterfuge here , as a travelling team I'd like to think Braid would have a better case for a grumple !

Larne 3g is certainly a lot better than garron tower. How much does the cliff charge for a sat morn? We train on it on a wed night & it's 35 for a third of the pitch. Must cost you lads a bomb.

id say braid didnt want to play it with no ref as it is a massive game for all 3rd div teams involved in promotion and maybe wanted it to be reffed in a fair way.. As has been said, i think a friendly would have suited all, suprised they turned this down

The reason the match was off was ref called league sec an said his car would not start. As far as wot happened next was braid asked could they have a training session we said yes. Then even offered to play a friendly and the next we knew they were changed an heading back up the road

It does cost us a brave bit of money we travel up and down there twice a week for matches and training, there is no where else around home to play. Plus u can't beat the facilities they have up there it's second to none

Its great to see diversity in the league and especially up the north antrim coast where we have only representation from Carnlough, but it does beggar believe why you would put a team into the league and still not have a pitch in your 2nd season lads! And for the league requirements also...bit strange tbh !!

how is it any different from glenarm. as for the friendly both teams have only ever played 1 time b4 so there is no bitterness or hard feelings between us we even offered a mix team friendly something to make the most of the pitch which wz paid for. i think the pitch is about £30 or 40 for a match because its our home pitch. as for having our own pitch how many teams in the bsml have there own pitch outright we couldnt get one passed so making do with what we have.

League requirements!!!!!!!!sure you could stick 2 goal posts in a field beside a certain driving range. Call it your home pitch. Then call all your home games off or play them at the forum

Fait play jimmy, yese didnt half land on ur feet, best pitch in the league. 30 40 QUID isnt bad either, Ballymena 3g is 90 quid.
