Being honest it annoys when any footballer from N.I switches to the R.O.I....but i can see were they are coming from with there religion and whatever.......but the players who use the N.I. set-up then jump ship are SCUM.

TBH i think people that play for NI at youth level then switch are utter Completely stupid statement. Kids at youth level don't have the choice to choose if they live in the North or South, they go to the trials and its selected from there. At youth level the kids are more mesmerised representing any country as its obviously a huge achievement and they lap up the plaudits that comes with it. Imo it's once they get older and the novelty wears off of being an international that they start actually thinking about who they really want to play for.

If they are at school and are such hardened Republic of Ireland fans then their parents should contact the FAI to arrange trials.
Thats my opinion and vice versa for anyone coming form ROI to Northern Ireland.

if a player wants to play for ROI instead of NI thats ok but dont use NI for years and then abandon them thats just being a w@nker imo also with regards to marc wilson he played for NI at youth i wonder why he suddenly had a change of heart and opted to choose the republic

Has Michael oneil not been quoted saying that certain players have switched because of religion reasons and NOT football reasons...these people are just complete w****rs. The GAWA will stick by our team no matter what race or religion they are.
