I have strong feelings on the like of this, Imo all games should be off as a mark of respect to a fellow player but as with mower we know that won't happen and i understand it's difficult for the league to call all games off. I just hope all teams have a minutes silence and respect it this time.

Totally agree with you pele, can understand the league wanting to get games played but IMO in this league when you know most players of other teams I think it would be nice show of repect for the Lowry family by the BSML. No matter how much we love our local football, it does put things into perspective.

fellas im sorry but i dont agree with calling all the games off as when a tragedy like this strikes in any league all the games do not get called off. Certainly the ahoghill games should be called off and a minutes silence at all the games, this would be a great mark of respect IMO.

Fair doo's to ye Davy nothing wrong with yer post at all, one of these cases where everyone has their own opinion on, theres no right or wrong answer to it. Certainly no point in anybody argueing over such a tragic thing.

I would be in agreement with Pele on this issue. I personnally would have no problem with games being called off as a mark of respect to one of our own. It's not as if this kind of thing happens 10 times a season. It's uncommon for people our age to pass away and when it happens to one of our fellow players I'd be in support of paying respects in this way, considering the poor soul gave his all at training through the week to be available with this next game at the front of his mind. I know I felt games should have been cancelled when Lawnmowerman past away. Whatever the decision is I hope it is observed by each and every player in the BSML...respect costs nothing!! RIP!!

I think with tradgic news like this happening in the bsml, I think it should be a voluntary decision by each team, if both teams want to continue with their match then play it with a mins silence. If 1 team decides to not play then the league should respect their decision. It would maybe cause a lot of Hassle to who runs the league but it just my view.
