very sad news and is always sad wen a fellow bsml player passes away but at so young of an age makes it alot worse...i grew up known steven personal and he was a real decent man..super footballer too..all r wishs to bg lowry and his family at this time....R.I.P STEVEN

Just heard the news this morning. A good player and a great fella. Such a shame.

A truely dark day for the BSML!!!!
A good leader on the park and a good guy off it. As someone said, ye could kick lumps out of each other, even trade insults with each other but when the final whistle blew it was over and there was a handshake and a grin afterwards...all in the heat of the battle.
When I think of what I've put myself and my body through the last year it really hits home how devastating something like this really is. You don't know there's a problem until it's too late....so desparatley unlucky.
Only the good die young. RIP Steven!!!!

Devastating news - Steven was a pure gentleman, on and off the pitch. It is hard to believe and puts things truely into perspective. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Harryville Homers are with Gareth and the greater family circle at this time. God Bless RIP Steven

Absolute tragedy.I pass on my own personal condolances and sympathy from all at Cloughmills Thistle.
Such a wonderful family who have been heavily involved in both local youth and senior football.Steven will be sorely missed for many a dark day.Thoughts are with his family circle and close friends that they find the strength and courage to face the comings days and weeks.

Stevens funeral will take place on saturday at noon
Service will b held at his home ( The Croft Ahoghill )
cuming from ballymena , drive past the diamond bar on the right ..and its the next right . stone throw from diamond bar ...
steven will b buried at Brookside Church ..
