Tragic news has just reached the BSML - Ahoghill Rovers captain Steven Lowry passed away tonight after training with his club.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
May he rest in peace

Very sad news tonite . we have lost a great bsml player . steve played his 1st game for the rovers at 16 .... and went on the captain , his boyhood heros .....
we have his big brother gareth at us ...... our thoughts are with him and his family at this hard time ...

Just horrible news for anybody involved in football.
A lot of crap goes on in our wee country and when you hear things like this, it puts everything into perspective.
Can't say that I knew Steven, but that doesn't matter. Any loss is a sad loss.

Steven was a real character and when i heard the news last nite I was so shocked, and i still can't get my head around it. Thoughts go out to all Steven's family and his girlfriend Kathryn at this time, I really can't begin to imagine what they're goin through!

Just heard this morning and can't believe it. Steven was a great player and personality within the bsml. Very sad news and hard to take in. My thoughts go out to gareth...couldn't even contemplate what he is going through with having a brother myself. With great sympathy at this sad time to the lowry family circle and friends. Junior
