Ambition is the key i think here. If they are happy enough playing and standing out every week rather than trying to further themselves in a better league it tells you something. Bit harsh but a lot of people would agree. There are plenty of them too.

I disagree, for some players i dont think it suits to be away all sat to play football, unless you are getting paid decent money i dont see why they would play higher league, i went through that stage where i thought higher league was the be all and end all but really, unless your playing for a really good team or getting decent cash wats the point

Playing for glebe is far from enjoyable, ricey is'nt good enough for a decent team imo.
Im not saying a bad word about glebe i enjoyed my time there but u will never achieve anything with them.
I get where ur coming from tho, playing against good players week in week out is great its just im saying for some if not must players in our league it just suits to play sat moring, its by far the easy option, im sure you dont go easy on your boys on a training nite cos its an easier league.

Play where you enjoy it most if you ask me. It's Saturday morning league, were not gonna be professionals. If players who are of a better quality enjoy playing in the morning better then fair play, it helps raise the quality further.

Gracey is a superb player, has everything to his game. Very good in the tackle and seems to get his fair share of goals.
If Carniny had the facilities would they move up and test themselves at a higher level?

It's good for us and good for the BSML too, i'm sure most teams will be glad they won't have to visit the old one again. I'm not sure about Ballykeel, i heard a rumour that the plan was to bring it up to standard so wakehurst could use it, not sure what truth there is in that

during pre season i had a few chances to go higher...played a few matches for a few teams but didnt feel tht i was good enough for tht standard.maybe i was maybe i wasnt, i maybe suffer from abit of self belief...
i agree with chris..no point in wasting ur whole sat travelling the country unless ur gettn paid abit of money for it. carniny, homers and all saints are all "good standard" teams to play for. they are all better than alot of teams who play in higher leagues
players like roger, mo, dowie, dell, rainey, campbell, mcneill, maybin, okane, mcroberts, watson, justin rowe(and thts jus a few) are all players who cud walk into nearly any higher league team if they wanted
all 3 teams play in junior cup or shield and playing in them r a good standard of football to play in
