Sat 1st Oct - 5th Newtoanabbey OB A 0 - 2 Westend Athletic - (R Andrews 1, G McIlroy 90) A very small pitch today, no room for playing much football, it reminded me of a third div game. I got my first start of the season and in the first min scored my first goal of the season  about 18 yards out, one,two with cussy, put it in the bottom corner, not much else happened until the last min when andy went on a brilliant run, fed dave currie the ball on the right, he puts in an excellent ball to the back post where gary McIlroy heads home to score his 3rd goal in 3 games. next round awaits |

I got the text and all, its all confirmed he came up with some excuse that we only have 13 or some crap like that but i know he's just dying to have me back I sent abuse back calling him a bastárd as its arsenal v chelsea 12:45 kick off but he didnt even have the decency to send abuse back, his man management skills 6/10 hopefully I get to keep my 100% goals per game ratio in this competition this season The come back number 3! |

Calf isnt good today, and that is only after an hours football in a week, it was the same last week and I went along to the match and I couldnt even do the warm up. Im not going through that again

mark watson scored in first half, then we gave away a bad pen in 2nd half.
last minute of extra time we scored an o.g. from their cross into the box.

I've been injured since the last game of preseason end of July. I went along last week to the homers game and didnt make it through the warm up, i went to training on thurs and on friday struggled to walk, anyone that has ideas that ill be able to play for a while (including myself) has to think again, fvck knows how long its gonna take. We have a squad of 20, how comes there was only 1 sub? there are 3 of us out with injuries that should leave 6 who should be available

Thanks for the game Westend. Hard fought,tight game which didn't deserve to end like that! 120 mins on that pitch was tough going,few dead legs n cramps in the morning! Good luck for rest of the season,hopefully we can meet again!
