Do plenty of stretches before and after each session. Them foam roller things are good too.
I have had loads of hamstring bother whilst running in the gym and since I started doing proper stretches I haven't had the same bother with the hamstrings and can increase the pace as well without injury.

Can anyone tell me if they have had the problem I have been facing No matter what I do I seem to keep on pulling muscles as I try to get back into playing Doesnt matter how much I do in the gym I am runnin my balls off Probably doing too much too soon, but played indoor Monday night. Felt good. Bit stiff yesterday. Went again last night to the 4G stuff, and my hamstrings were aching. Spent the last 30mins in nets I am ready to retire. Seriously Any help or advice would be great Proper warm down and Ice baths after every session.. You should be stretching every day too. Lenny, excellent advise about the ice bath!! Done 3 10k runs this week and last night as I started my run my legs were aching. Needless to say by the end of it they were a lot worse. I decided to give this ice bath a whirl. Filled the bath and got that party bag ice stuff. Put my toes in and thought I could never get into it. Then i thought stuff it, and bailed in. Wasnt half as bad as I expected it to be, and to be frank, my legs feel a LOT better today for it!!
