I would like to thank all the great players and even better friends I have met over the last 10 years at Shore.
I have decided to resign from my post as manager. Nothing to do with recent results, I feel I have taken the club as far as I can off the pitch and feel the team needs someone new with fresh ideas and enthusiasm to take it to the next level.
Great club with a world of potential, I didn't think this day would come, but as a wise man told me the other night, if the fun goes out of it then its time to stop.
Good luck lads, hope you can turn the club around both on and off the pitch.

Shocked by this donko. Sad to hear it, you've done a superb job up there in the past few years. In saying that if it gets to a point where its not fun anymore and your not enjoying it, theres little point in being there, same thing has happened to one of our players in the past few weeks, just didnt enjoy it so better off walking away. Hopefully you get the thirst back and get back involved again. Until then, all the best donks!

Sorry to hear about you quiting donko I hope everything works out for you in the future. Greg, seriously you saying donko is leaving when things are bad, talk about kicking someone when their down. That's even below my standards. I believe that if you don't enjoy it anymore things will only get worse and that is no good for the club. Although I would be tempted to have a cheeky wee dig at donko I think if your not 200% committed at any club you should have the balls to says so and hold your hands up and walk away so well done Paul.

Well I never.....actually a very decent post Davy!!!!! Donko, knowing you this was a seriously difficult decision to come to but I'm sure you're doing what you feel is best. No person can question yer dedication to Shore FC and the things you've achieved there are fantastic. As BFP says, you've brought the club to a great level and deserve all the praise!! Maybe get back playing in one of the leagues mate?? No reason why not!!

as a former player and friend of donks would just like to wish the big man all the best, we had some great times at club, from getting tanked some weeks to great footballing side we became, not to many put the work in donko has at club, or taken the slabbering, hissy fits, weekly guerning because your not the first on team sheet, or simply boys not showing up. I for one having played nearly 20 years now (fooook getting old) can safely say the years at shore wanderers have been the best yet. Paul whatever you do now mate, remember the work you put in (suppose i wll have to mention Anto to ) has taken the club from a laughing stock to in my view a half decent first division side, good luck mate and hopefully the club will carry on. Bad news for shore though

It should never ever be forgotten how important Anto was in Shores progress. Don't think the club, and definitely myself have recovered from his departure this summer

Sad times Paolo... Hope Shore can turn it around and start getting a few points on the board and if regime change produces that then so be! You're the bigger man for stepping down and giving someone else a shot if ya feel you can do no more ! Like others have said it's down to yourself and Anto bringing Shore from 3rd Div playoff hopefulls to a 1st Div team in a matter of years.. Having been there when times were bad and at the beginning of the team changing it's mindset for the better I'm disappointed that injury meant I couldn't enjoy the teams success under your leadership... Good luck in whatever ya do next !

I wish you well Paul. Very surprised at the decision to stand down.
I made the same decision at Templepatrick as I had signed for Coagh many moons ago.
My point is I soon regretted it. !! AND STILL DO !!
Dont be too hasty
