They were pants lads, very slack from the Saints to let them in twice. Big Hugo had a few of those miskick efforts of his but had a steady enough game. Saints looked ok for most of the game but the opposition were piss poor!!!!

Hurt my back at the start of September after getting off to a flyer with Broadway and scoring a few goals. Only started training again a couple of weeks ago but I have put on 2 1/2 stone and it's a nightmare trying to do anything. Play 5 a side on a monday with the Broadway lads then train twice a week with Northend but I'm not getting any fitter. Hard hard work!!!

from ballymenatimes.com
All Saints OB 5, Inver Athletic 2:
Saints should have been 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes when Liam Cassley was clean through twice but found the Inver keeper David McKeen in great form as he blocked both efforts.
The breakthrough came for Saints on 22 minutes when a shot by Liam Cassley came off an Inver defender and fell to Barney McCann to fire home.
Ten minutes later it was 2-0 for Saints when Ciaran McKeown made a good run down the right and crossed for Paddy Logan to rifle home from close range.
The second half saw Saints still in the ascendancy but again Inver keeper David McKeen kept them at bay denying Liam Cassley once again but he got revenge when he made it 3-0 on 55 minutes when he headed home an inch perfect Ciaran McKeown cross.
Inver pulled a goal back when Connor McIlroy was on hand to fire home from close range but any chance of a comeback was killed off by a Saints goal five minutes later.
Second half substitute Connor Crilly weaved his way through the Inver defence and when he got to the by line he unselfishly pulled the ball back for Damien Kelly to fire home.
Saints continued to pile on the pressure but were caught on the break by Inver when Roy McKeown raced through to score and they nearly reduced the deficit to one when Connor McIlroy hit the post with ten minutes to go.
It was Saints who had the final say when Liam Cassley was pulled down and Ryan Lyness stepped up to fire home from the spot to send them into Round two.

dear lord as i lay my head down tonight, when i awake, god willing of course, may you grant me a few simple wishes, first of all will you make that wee bollix crilly be on time, secondly can i have a full squad to pick from, my third wish will be for three points come noon, and my final wish, for the 1st day of march is that you grant my team its first clean sheet. ah f**k it, thats asking a bit much, so instead i'll make my last wish be the 6 winning lottery numbers. cheers sham.
