Back page of the Scottish sun today is the news Liverpool are expected to put a bid in for Paddy McCourt after his performance on Wednesday night against the Faroes.
Some change in fortune for the lad if this turns out to be true?

As greata talent as he is, would he actually cut it in the premiership?
I don't get to see him playing that often but there have been comments made on his fittness and ability to be effective for 90 minutes.
Surely if he was going to move it would need to be somewhere he would play every week, although being on the bench in the English premiership might still be more attractive than doing the same in Scotland.

He'd most likely get a better wage too which would help soften the blow. That's always been Paddys problem, his fitness and work rate for the team. For the tough, tight games he would be considered a luxery more than anything else although he did have a run in the team (handful of games) and lasted rightly so I'm not sure I'm overly convinced about that arguement...

He would be nothing more than an impact sub at best if it happend however you only have to look at sat past when the game was crying out for a bita magic maybe hes the type of player who could provide it. Would he cut it in the prem though, doubt it sadly.

In around 2 million?

How much did Derry City get for him?
Might be a we cash boost for them if he had a sell on clause....

He needs to get into the Celtic team on a regular basis before any EPL team could take a punt with him........but if he does that I'd be happy to have him at Anfield.
