Tough game tonight against a good weekend. At half time we'd have bit your hand off for a point but at the end we were disappointed not to win the game. 1st half we looked pretty slugish, a few boys still looked tired after a tough shift on saturday. Westend started off the better and had alot of possout really testing wee Aaron in nets. They took the lead when Mark Watson (I think) ran through to finish well. 2nd half we looked a bit sharper, had alot more of possession, but again didnt really test the keeper. We got a penalty with 10/15 minutes when Rab Caughy was tripped in the box. Leroy (  ) stepped up and knocked it in. Last 10 minutes there was only a team who looked like they would win it but couldnt really create any clear cut chances. Think both keepers only had one shot each to save in the game, really wasnt many chances created at all. Anyway we'd have taken 4 points from the first 2 games at the start of the season so cant be too downheated. Abbeyview away on Thursday night. |

but you forgot to mention our goal that was dissalowed for being offside. Was never offside. I was in line with your last man and it was def a wrong decision by ref. But that happened at start of the game so we had plenty of time after that to make ammends.
Yous def look a lot stronger than last season. Few boys signed from broadway??

Just ten mate ;D Just the rest of bc who pele didnt think was good enough for ASOB  Only Fusco and Housty were the lads who started last nite who didnt play last season. Missing Sexy and wiggsy last night too. Supersub im nearly sure the disallowed 'goal' was turned round the post by wee Aaron anyway! |

mr fish deserves a mention in this game as he was outstanding last night, from the word go he battled for everything and IMO single handed dragged a tired looking michelin back into the game..................keep it up sonny ;D ;D

The game changed when we had to make changes, we were in complete control up til that point. Mark Watson played a blinder and scored a cracking goal. A stupid penalty given away with 5 mins to go did the damage and I was glad to hear the final whistle we were never gonna score, we were more likely to conceed

oul fish played well, he was nipping about rightly. I dont think fitness had anything to do with it though, we are a fit bunch ourselves, we made changes in midfield, then kept giving the ball away, giving away stupid freekicks and then a stupid penalty, I think that was what dragged you back into it

Rab think michelin worked the way into it and got level, first half use were working harder thought we were very slack so were giving a lot of ball away an silly free kicks, Jus lik use did in second half when Mich were working harder than use an managed to get penalty, then should of prob went on to win but Jus didn't fall right but we didn't ever really look lik conceding again. Did look decent game to play in and good luck to west end rest of season

After our left sided midfielder gave away a free kick your central defender Rab, who is about 40, picked up the clearance at about 25 yards and took the ball around our right sided midfielder and did the same to our central midfielder who eventually tripped him in the box. easy now rab, it's all in the past now!
Think Mitty's summary was fair enough. We created enough chances in first hour to go 2 or 3 up but in the end Michelin did well to come back into it and probably deserved their point. Just have to keep at it and pick up points where we can!
