Dear Football Coaches...
Ajax Coaching Clinic comes to Northern Ireland
Grow Sport have announced that they are bringing the world famous Ajax Coaching Clinic to Ashfield Boys High school, Belfast from Saturday 13th to Sunday 14th June, giving local coaches the chance to learn from the best.
Ajax is one of Europe’s most innovative and successful football clubs, and is renowned for their youth programme that has produced many Dutch talents over the years. Ajax coaches Eddie Van Schaick and Renaldo Landburg will be leading the coaching clinic in Belfast. Eddie has worked at AFC Ajax youth academy for the past 3 years. Previously he has worked on the Qatar Olympic Committee for development of youth football and has coached and scouted at youth soccer clubs in North Carolina. Renaldo Landburg has specialized in speed coordination and physical training at Ajax for the past 5 years. Renaldo has also worked as a guest clinician for clubs in both Canada and Russia as well as consulting for individual professional athletes.
Eddie Van Schaick commented, “Through the coaching clinics in Ireland we aim to present the world known Ajax method of training, its philosophy and consistent approach of educating youngsters. Winning games is secondary. We are able to provide simple training solutions for youth trainers and coaches of all levels.”
This event will give local coaches the unique opportunity to gain professional training from world famous Ajax coaches. Starting at 11am, the coaching clinic will involve a practical demonstration from Ajax coaches at Ashfield Boys High School, a coaching seminar and will finish with a Q&A session. The clinic is aimed at improving coaching techniques, giving coaches the chance to discuss specialist coaching techniques with the Ajax coaches.
Grow Sport commented, “Through the specialist coaching clinics we aim to improve the techniques and skills of coaching in local communities, and help coaches build upon their coaching qualifications. The overall result will be an improvement the quality of youth football in our country.”
Coaches wishing to attend can purchase their tickets from ticketmaster.ie and all usual outlets. For further information on the Ajax Coaching Clinic contact ciaran@growsport.com or 00442890660793.
