Good result tonight lads considering we were 4-2 down at a stage i thought we battled well to draw level and played some good football at times, though we need to be tighter in defence as we once again let in a few sloppy goals

Good result in the end lads and a fair result I think!!
We were shocking first half! Defence was all over the show and we just couldn't get settled!!
Think second half we came out and even though we had a stonewall pen disallowed and an unlucky bounce for conal in nets for their fourth, we still showed a lot of fight and dug deep to get to 4-4!!! I think 5 more mins and we couldve nicked the winner!!
A few lads playing out of position tonight and a few missing but lads staking their claim for their place in that second half performance alone!!
Cmon the swifts!!!

Defo need to get Conal out of nets, very good player, and im sure there were clowns playing out the field that would have been better in nets than they were outfield, Conal is as good a player as you have, he would get on most first division teams.

Conal is a good player and Swifts will def be a better team when he is playing outfield. Fair play to him for doing nets, especially with the luck he has had in them over the past two games!! Brian picks his team though based on who he thinks will do the best job, and Im sure if he thought there was anyone else who couldve done nets (and done as good a job as Conal has done) they wouldve been in. A lot of lads are still learning to play together and get used to the team, including myself, but I think this will come with time. When we settled down and got comfortable last night I think we played some really nice football (especially for our 3rd and 4th goals). |

im just glad were scoring goals at the min, i thought we would struggle with that side of things this year because only really chrissy graham is there from last year.
Were definitely shipping more goals at the back than we should, but again johnny still to come back and by all accounts he played really well pre-season.
plus andy kelly still missing who was by quite a distance our best player last season.
So plenty of positives boys lets just keep plugging away and the results will come.

Yeah Conal is the best option in nets atm lads until Paddy is available. He also still has a dodgy knee and isnt 100% fit!!
Did well to come back tho and with Johnny back in on Monday and Aidan Watt just signed and available for monday things are looking a bit better. Got at least 6 players unavailable past few games!!!!

yes lads, aidan is a great signing for us as well as getting johnny fulton signed up. These 2 players will make a big difference this year and we're really starting to get a good squad together. Now lets start getting points on the board as well

Conal is a better outfield player that Aidan Watt, and Aidan Watt is a better keeper than Conal, its not rocket science as to who to pick for nets in the next game. Will be an interesting team selection. If Conal starts outfield for you's consistently he will win your player of the year by a mile.

Well from what I've seen of aidan which, fair enough, was only a friendly, he would be very effective! Conal has the unfortunate ability of being a decent keeper as well as an excellent defender. I cant help but think that, due to the position Aidan plays, he would be much better out field than in nets. And I'm sure if he was offered the choice, he'd much rather play out field. That plus conal isn't 100% as far as a I know. If it were fair they would both play but hey-ho what can ye do...
