having been around the block in the saturday morning league with quite a few sides in my time , i would whole heartedly have to say that no one has ever done it as fine and dandy as big stevie did , he worked tirelessly for yrs upon yrs booking training , pitches , washing kits and that is only a very small part of the duties he carried out never mind setting up diners and booking hotels and what not etc etc etc . i personally owe him a debt for having me at the club , i appreciate him letting me be part of what was happening in the changing room , for letting me have a voice and so on , so from shermourinhio to big stevie , i will try to help the wee hoops as much as i can in the future , and if we can do half the job you have done for the past 12yrs , then id like to think we were doin well . god bless and long live the legend within the broadway celtic history books that is "big stevie elliot .

IMO no one will fill his shoes at the club. The work he's done in over a decade is out of this world and as many know, it's normally a pretty thankless task.
The end of season dinner at the MAC this time last year showed what he's all about. He organised things and took total charge of the mic, doing a fantastic job before presenting a new trophy in memory of his dear mother who sadly passed away earlier that season. That is a memory that will live with me for a long time...very moving!!
From my time at the club I'd also like to say a many thanks to Iron Man Elliott, a proper clubman who will be sadly missed at Broadway Celtic.

Only found out today about this.
huge loss to the club, these days their arent too many clubmen about and stevie was one of the best!!
Boys will have to muck in to try and replace the void hes left leaving behind.
An absolute gentleman, all the best stevie.

sad to hear stephen is leaving bc ... stepen is a true gentleman , would never go past u without having a good chat ... .
he seems to have done so much work for bc , thru the gd and bad times ...
these men r hard cum by now adays .... .....

Lads honestly words would't be able to describe what this man has done at Broadway Celtic. Since i came in he has been a Godsend and the work he done behind the scenes was incredible also i don't think i have ever heard a bad word from anyone in the bsml about him, An true gentleman. Good players come and go but fellas like Stevie are missed a helluva lot more than any superstar player. One of his main reasons to step away is he is concentrating on doing marathons in different countries this year, big man loves his road running  |

It's a wonder he has time for anything else at all with the amount of running he does.
He will be a big loss to Broadway. He was at Woodside FC quite a few years back with me before he got his big money move to the hoops and I have to say that he was committed in everything he did. He certainly doesn't do things half arsed and although he was a player at that time he got involved in helping the running of the club even then which is always appreciated as many hands make light work.

The rest have pretty much said everything there is to say tbh ,but gentleman and dedicated are certainly 2 words that in my humble opinion some you up.

As every1 has already said that played for Broadway Celtic, Big stevie will be a massive loss for them and what a guy the big man put in some work for BC and as fish said last years dinner was very moving and being the man he is just made every1s night (although a league medal wasnt bad either)  So good luck big Iron Man with whatever you do in the future. |
