Really pleased to beat these boys in the semi's tonight. When they are on form and get all their big players playing for them there arent too many teams in all 3 divisions they cant beat. We started off pretty well, think the first chance was one big Sexy hit from 25 yards which nearly creeped in the far post. Was a good battle in the middle of the pitch between Geoff, Murphy, Gordy (when he stepped up) and Wiggsy, Leroy and Ricky hanna. Waveney looked most gangerous when they got the ball down and played down the middle but didnt create any real chances. Big Fulton pulled off a good save, then we took the lead when good play from Sexy and somebody else ( ) put Ricky Hanna through and he finished it well in the bottom corner. 2nd half Waveney had alot more of the ball but again didnt really create too much. We scored a second when a quick free kick crossfield ball by Sammy McCullough out his twin Tommy through and we finished it well first time past big Fulton. Again Waveney pressed hard bit couldnt really break through. We had a couple of other chances to kill the game off, Sexy once or twice and Fish put a super cross on to Big Frogs head but he headed it just over from 6 yards. Thought everybody busted their balls tonight, especially in the second half when we didnt get much of the ball, but special mention to the back 4 who were superb again, really top class. Says alot when big Mark Burnside (probably one of our best players this season) is waiting on the bench to get back in. Going to be a real tough game against a really good, strong Thistle team but really were going in as underdogs so hopefully well give the ducklings a game anyway Forgot to mention, Gutted for Andy Murphy tonight, been top class for us recently but found out tonight just as he was getting stripped that he got a further 2 match ban for violent conduct after his red card against Braid last month, wasnt even a red Really hope that Waveney can cause an upset next week against CarninyThey are good lads as well as a good team and have a good man in charge too.

Kenny had been suffering from migraines for a few weeks now and I think he just began to felt really dizzy so it was decided to bring him off for his own safety/health.
Ha, I must have been as bad as I thought out left Lenny!

They usually do play 3-5-2 AFAIK Lenny McNabb I dont think really think should have been playing, got a bad injury a few weeks ago and has been struggling since. He wasnt due to play at all but somebody pulled out right before Kick off so he had to play at that position. McNabb would start up front or in the 'hole' in my team every week, different class when he's fit and on form. The wife was telling me after the game Kenny was taken to doctor on call last night not well and was told not to play but gave it a go anyway. I dont really want to say what the crack with him cause its not my place too is but he's been taken ill before and think was told to knock playing footy on the head (that was a good couple years ago anyway) so im assuming he still wasnt feeling great.

Well done to the Michelin Lads!! Good performance from them, and I think they played the better football throughout the 90 mins.
Good luck in the final lads!!
