Why the Crues ? I thought the rally was planned by both Crues and chickenvile fans? Both clubs sets of fans have been working together. I had heard it was a small minority of fans that started the crap

Idiots.

Chickenvile fans gona have to start respecting people's homes and property if further scenes like this are to be avoided. Seems the local residents have had enough. Why they didn't just accept the offer of free buses to the ground is beyond me.

I didn't realise there was trouble involving the reds fans or I'd never of posted I actually thought it was just called off because of the fleg protesters ;D It was Pele, the rest of them are just talking uninformed bulls**t. I was there yesterday and I was there in November when the last game was played at Seaview. On that day, the Reds fans were videoed the whole way down the road by police, politicians and residents so why all this damage to property hasn't been caught on film is a mystery. anyway, yesterday had nothing to do with this. Reds & Crues boards have worked together to resolve this issue and it was sorted. What actually happened was that flag protesters from other parts of NI & other areas of Belfast arrived around one/half one. the police allowed about fifty or so people with no connection to either club protest on a path that the away fans were set to use. when the police tried to move them to another area trouble flared and as the police could not guarantee the safe passage of the 900 or so reds men at the top of glandore into seaview, the game was called off. willie frazer was there, he's not a skeg resident and many other of the faces associated with flag protests were there. this was not a minority or majority of football fans. this was nothing about football and was simply a case of attention whores gatecrashing a football match to gain publicity. sadly the people with most to lose are crusaders fc. crues aren't exactly rolling in money and regardless they will lose out. the ifa's options are simply, one - move the game to another venue as the safety of away fans can not be guaranteed in the same way they did with the reds-blues games for years or play the game at Seaview with restrictions on fans. Either way football has lost out to the bigots and Crusaders will be hurt financially as the attendance won't be as high for a mid week game as it would have been yesterday. Sad day for football. Anyone interested I wrote a piece about it earlier on my blog that nobody reads. gjsportsblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/football-biggest-loser.html

Who told you that Willie Frazer? First i've heard of it & there's well over a thousand posts on ILS forums on the subject from both sides. I've been at numerous Reds games & the only hint of trouble I've saw was at Windsor on New Year's Day when a young lad was told to shut the f**k up when he continually tried to start singing songs that were nothing to do with Cliftonville FC & it ended with the young lad being ejected. The same fella is banned from Solitude but goes to most away games. Anyway I must be wrong about the fans I've stood amongst & someone who sits on his high horse all day is right.

I've heard the reputation & in my personal experience from being there I've not saw anything. Great to see Crusaders representatives on the news there expressing their disgust at Willie Frazer gate crashing their football ground. Ultimately it's the Crues who have lost the most through this.
