The blues released legendary striker yesterday the despite 'spikes' age i still think he could produce the goods! think money was the major factor tho! whats ur views lads??

Shocking decision if you ask me, like you say despie his age he's still worth a good 20+ goals a season and if he goes to another Irish league team will be a great asset!

Right decision but shocking the way the club went about it. Disgusting the way they treated the great man. Could have been handled a lot better.
Yes spike could give us another season but its time to look to the future. The decision to let the big man go was the right one.

Great man to still have around...especially for the likes of the youth coming through Definitely no doubt about that. But while he was playing the young lads were always in his shadow now its time for them to step out of it. I know Spike is doing his badges so it would be wonderful to get him back in a year or two in a coaching role. Linfield legend and an absolute gent!
