Thank f**k for that tonight! Well deserved 3 points and a clean sheet was a bonus.
Im sure it wasnt the prettiest game to watch but with the losing run we were on you'll take 3 points whatever way they come.
1st half there wasnt too much going on, the only thing that happened was our goal, Sexy hit a shot just inside the box which was saved by the keeper and fell out to Andy Murphy who knocked it in.
2nd half was much the same, not really too much goalmouth action. Murp then got sent off pretty harshly IMO, jocking their player on the bye line he tackled from behind and caught the man. More than likely should have been a yellow but got the red, with a bit of help from the Braid players
Braid then pushed on a bit but kept banging it up to the big lad up front but I dont think big McKeown and Froggy lost more than 3 headers against him all night. We were always dangerous on the break and scored a second when a hoof from me put Sexy in and he scored a cracker from the edge of the box. If anything we still had the better chances after that with Sexy, Tom Agnew and Leroy coming close.
Our back were superb tonight, well shielded by Froggy in front of them and big Sexy worked his balls off up top and got a well deserved goal. Everyone out in a great shift, especially playing a man down for the last half hour.
Good luck to Braid for the rest of the season, decent set of lads. In saying that the Ballymena reserve manager was playing centre half for them tonight and spent basically the 90 minutes trying to get our players sent off
Have to say theres going to have to be alot of work done to that pitch if its to be ready for the milk cup this year.
